Name me one player who is kobe's equal at the 2, if you even say vince, paul pierce, or t mac I will puke. All dudes who care about dunking, and scoring nothing else. Kobe is clearly the best 2 guard like jordan was in his time. he will never be jordan but he is making his own name and we might just say no one can be the next kobe. And as for shaq if la lets kobe leave they will pay, shaq is dominat but he is a lazy fat slob who acts like he is god. He is dominat but anyplayer who would have played with shaq in his prime would be second fiddle because no one is as big as him. Thats his advantage but if he and jordan were on the bulls jordan would do the same thing kobe is doing. You give props to shaq, if jordan played with shaq he would have called that slob out by now. He doesnt work as hard as kobe and if he got 100 touches in a game would still cry. I am done with this thread, not mad just an arguement that can not be solved until kobe is done playing. Peace out!

I mostly agree with you, but I hate when people say a certain player will never be as good as Jordan. Someone will always come along and take the crown. It's just a matter of time.

I can bet you that there are about 5000 people in the US alone that would whoop Bruce Lee's [censored].

They have the reputation of being such a great defensive team only because they were the best in a league with subpar or worse defense, and they were only the best because they intimidated guys from driving with cheap and potentially career ending fouls. That type of crap would never be allowed in todays cleaned up NBA, which would basically mean Bill Laimbeer wouldn't have a career.

They averaged more because everyone could shoot the ball. It's not the same anymore. You calling Dumars and Rodman garbage? I see. I guess the D is all better now. Those guys couldn't play. Noone else could play D either. I see what you mean.

I didn't call Dumars and Rodman garbage, I called the team defense garbage. And you can believe all you want that those guys just plain and simple shot the ball better than guys now. I'll believe the defense is better.

Sadly, I can say that you guys made a weak comparison between Kobe and Jordan. You are all just looking at statistics and who scored the most points and who shoot the winning shot.

Jordan is great not because he can score 30 points every night. He became great because he could make the players around him good and great. He made Pippen great from good, Longley from a bench player to a role player, Horace Grant became good from average, Paxson and Armstrong from nobody to become a good clutch and 3 point shooters. Ron Harper became a respected PG in the league, Bison Dele from nobody to become a descent PF that went to Detroit. Jordan's floor leadership and combined with his skills made him one of the greatest players to ever walk on the NBA.

Look what happen to those players after Jordan left, Kokuc was lost somewhere in the NBA and never heard from, Longley went back to his old role as a bench warmer, Harper dissapeared, and Rodman can't find a team to play with. Only a few players from Jordan's Bulls retain there skills, Pippen, Bison Dele, Steve Kerr as a 3 point and clutch shooter, Horace Grant before his age caught up with him. But one thing is for sure, those guys where never the same since Jordan left.

It might look like the Bulls lineup during there reign are stronger than what you guys compared, but also have to consider that those where also the years where 7 of the NBA's 50 greatest of all time are still playing on there prime. Charles Barkley, Ewing, Olajuwon, Malone, Stockton, Drexler, and David Robinson. Plus the Bulls also vanquished Shaq and Penny's Orlando Magic in the Eastern Playoffs. Right now the only player that is part of the 50 greatest player of all time and still on his prime is Shaq. And guess who is that big guy Kobe is playing with. It's BIG DADDY SHAQ.

This could be the dumbest post I have ever read. They changed basketball and ended 2 of the greatest dynasties ever. And on top of that they lost to one of the greatest dynasties in sports. They had the most dynamic team of that time. They had a second team that could have been a 3 seed in either conference. today's cleaned up baby ball is garbage comapared to that era. You are part of the pussification of the country. Bill Laimbeer would be an all star today with all of the weak [censored] centers in this league. You can call it whatever you want, just call them the champions they were. This is why I hate reading and getting involved in these discussions.

Tmac is a better scorer and Artest plays better D. Vince had his shot, but he chose not to want it. PP and Mac are on lost cause teams, carrying the load alone. Vince could have been great, had the potential, his teammates wanted him to be, and he simply said, no, this is a team game, I don't workout and don't try to tell me to because I don't play those childish kind of games.
