Probably a good sign Rose still feels comfortable landing like that, especially on the ACL knee...a lot if guys with knee trouble tend to stick their landings a little more evenly afterward if they can...

Yeah, I don't think it's anything to worry about, it's just the way he dunks for the most part.

its not as impactful as dunking, but a good amount of players/people land 1 leg first when shooting. it just seems to be natural leans in how people "float"

Yep. Even after a dunk, a one-two landing is pretty common and not particularly dangerous. Landing is often about letting the body flow how it wants to flow. If a leg comes up, a player would be best suited to roll with it as opposed to unnaturally attempting to correct, flex, or plant as a means of altering the landing.

Floyd Mayweather on Paul George from Facebook.

Not one second should be taken for granted...the 'present' truly is a gift. GOD is orchestrating all of our lives. Paul George is a phenomenal player and my friend as well. I speak with him daily, so this is very personal for me. My prayers are with him & I wish him a speedy recovery. I nicknamed him PG but on the court his game is rated R!

He himself was an anomaly, but this is not reactionary, its precautionary and seems like the coaches agree as well.

I've noticed that some guys (LeBron, Kobe come to mind) seem to be conscience of how they land...I could be off base, but you wonder if there's a correlation between that and the fact they've gone relatively injury free through there careers.,.

I was out with friends having a good time--saw the PG injury and it just made me sick. Absolutely awful. I hope he can recover from it and be the same guy on the court.

It'd be a tough correlation to attempt to make, in my opinion. I think we're all relatively conscious of how we land in the beginning - like as we learn how to jump and whatnot, but our body sort of naturally figures that stuff out for us. I mean, when we perform a routine layup, I'd like to think landing safely just sort of happens (unless we land on someone's foot). Similarly, even if we're displaced while taking to the air on a drive (standard foul, not flagrant), our bodies still tend to have an idea of how to land without us planning on the fly, no?

I'm just not entirely certain there's a window for being conscience about one's landing on a regular basis without it negatively affecting one's ability and willingness to attack by any means. The only time conscious self-preservation comes to mind would be on the dunks where the likes of James and Blake Griffin have dunked with two hands off one foot and hung on the rim (thus displacing their balance) and then proceeded to swing until their legs dangled lifelessly, inches from the ground.

In my personal experience, running, cutting, jumping, dunking, and landing are all sort of on auto-pilot and I'm not sure, for the sake of my health, I'd want it any other way. The moment I began attempting to become conscious on the fly about my natural movements, I feel like that's when something unusual and potentially harmful may occur.
