ludacris, Ben was on fire that night, he just amazed me. Ben just has that funky form for his jump shot, doesn't look quite right. He's getting better though, and they're winning, so can't complain.

I think he needs to work on those freethrows before he works on his jumpers though. If the Pistons shot over 80% from the line in the Finals, we'd be talking about the Lakers' offseason right now.

Dumar's best move might have to be drafting Darko Milicic instead of Carmelo Anthony. Why? Because he had so much confidence in Tayshaun Prince to be a terrific player for the Pistons.

Look at what Prince has done. He brings a cool feeling to the floor, a confidence that is much needed on a team...he might not be a scorer but he can shoot, play within a set offense, unselfish, tall and long which makes him a menacing player to deal with on both offense and defense...a hard worker and he is an outstanding defensive player. He frustrates Kobe to no end. He is always in his face and defends him better than anybody I've seen. He's come up clutch in the playoffs with his surprising offensive spurts, offensive rebounds...and let's not forget his blocked shot on Reggie Miller.

I left that pick off intentionally for two reasons:

            1) I didn't want to open that can of worms

            2) Even a championship this year isn't going to shut people up until Darko contributes

No doubt that Prince is proving Joe very right on two front...why he didn't take Melo and why he fired pRick Carlisle. I defended Tayshaun from day one. People said there was no place for a Defensive Specialist...he is showing there is. People said the Tay wouldn't be able to get his shot off (because of his release) in the NBA....he does.

I'm sorry....with Marshmelo the Pistons would be out right now. RJ and/or Artest would have manhandled him....let alone Kobe.

The Hamilton trade though was big for them, cauze all Jerry did was hog the ball all the time. Hamilton might not be as a good as scorer, but he fits perfectly in their system, he's unselfish, and his mid range game is butta.

I totally agree. Even Joe D himself mentioned that he got a bit lucky on the Grant Hill-Ben Wallace & Chucky Atkins trade, so I can't call that one his best move. That's why I'm going with the Jerry Stackhouse for Richard Hamilton deal as his best move too. That was a risky but calculated move by Joe D which had no signs of luck written on it.

Firing Rick Carlisle to hire Larry Brown is a close second.

Firing Rick Carlisle to hire Larry Brown is my pick. You can have all the all-stars on your team in the world but without good coaching, your team is nothing. (example: LA Lakers before the hiring of Phil Jackson)
