    i voted for Dumars mamma , because if she didnt feed him some cambells chunky soup that filled him up right , the Pistons wouldn't be about to win the NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BABY!!!

      Big Ben was a marginal player then, and I bet just a throw in by Orlando to get Detroit something for losing Hill.

            That's how most of the league viewed him but Dumars was a guy who watched Rodman get better and flurish once he got starter's minutes. He said that after seeing what Ben did off the bench, he tried imagining how that would project over 35 to 40 minutes if he was a starter. Give Dumars credit for being able to envision what most other people couldn't. While Ben's contract is one of the best bargains in the league today, at that time Dumars was the only GM willing to give him a 6 year contract above the MLE.
