    Cavaliers willing to forgive...

Reports are the Cavaliers are offering Carlos Boozer their mid-level exception for just one year. Why is this a worthwhile offer? Because if Boozer takes $5 million over $8-10 million for next season, the Cavaliers can give him a max deal next year -- allowing Boozer to make more money in the longrun. I hope Boozer takes this offer. His future in Cleveland with LeBron James is brighter than in Utah with Andrei Kirilenko.
After more than eight years on here, I finally figured out how to edit my time zone!

I don't think he should take it and I don't think he will. Utah is giving him the contract he deserves, and the Jazz have a brighter future than the Cavs in my opinion.

Jazz having a much brighter future than Cleveland, that is just preposterous. And they aren't giving him the contract he deserves. He deserves a one year contract worth $695,000. The Cavs were being good to him, letting him get a bigger contract. Now, if he signs with the Cavs for the MLE, for one year, then next year he can sign with the Cavs for a greater amount than he could with the Jazz. So stop and think before you make a comment like that.

And where are the Jazz going that Cleveland is not? If Lebron and Boozer stay with the team, and Z stays healthy, then they will be better than most teams in the East. What are the Jazz gonna do? With the Kings, Mavs, and Spurs still around and in tact, the Jazz are going nowhere. But with a year under the Young Cavs belts, they could/should make it at least 2nd round of the playoffs, depending on the draw that they get and who they have to face. Of course, this is all depending on Boozer, Z, James, and McInnis.

Cav's have a much brighter future than the Jazz. One word: LeBron.

Lebron is good and all (not great, MJ was great, Kobe is great), but he cannot carry a team by himself. And Cavs management obviously doesn't know how to keep players in Cleveland. I think it's ridiculous to compare the Cavs to the Jazz. The Jazz make the playoffs every year (missed the playoffs by 1 game, wouldn't have happened if Harping was healthy). The Cavs, well, are just the sorry Cavs and will continue to be sorry for many years to come. Plus, Boozer obviously didn't enjoy his time with Cleveland and wasn't thrilled to be a teammate of James from what I read.

Lebron and Boozer were very good friends. And oh, the Jazz "ONLY" missed the playoffs by one game because of Harpring's injury? What about McInnis' injury? The Cavs would have been a 5 or 6 seed hadn't it been for that injury. Much better team than the Jazz. And how can you compare Lebron to Kobe and MJ at this point in his career? If I am not mistaken, Lebron averaged a lot better stats than Kobe did in his rookie year.
