im still trying to understand how a man you've never met pisses you off so...he plays professional basketball for a loving...he is not that important

get off the high horse...you guys are so f'n afraid he has a great career and you'll have no choice but to compare him to MJ...i mean c'mon, cut the slander...and lets get back to the hoops...the drama is over, kobe/shaq are over...they were keeping the nba alive...time for the new breed

its a new day...the hate should end...welcome to the jungle

If you don't understand then you should stop being like Kobe, and actually use your brain to think. The NBA is more than just on court basketball. It's image, marketing, fans, media and so on and they all affect each other as well as the whole representation of the NBA, not just for the big wigs and officials, but obviously for some fans. So when I see a grown man acting like a child off the court and acting like a fool, it annoys me, yes.

I'll never compare him to MJ based on his current career position, stats and achievements. As far as I'm concerned, his career begins now and in a few years (barring a possible prison sentence which most people seem to be overlooking) we'll see if he deserves to be compared to MJ or Penny...

I've seen that post format somewhere else . . .

But how can we say for sure that he was lying. Nobody knows for a fact the was lieing. Now I'm not saying that he isn't lieing because I don't know either.

Then why negate what is being said if you dont know?

But, in my opinion, not everything he said was a lie.

See, Kobe and Kupcake have you fooled. You dont know if he lied, but everything he said wasn't a lie, so you admit you know he lied, just not about everything, yet you say you dont know he lied. I wonder if he thinks NBA fans and the city of LA are full of stupid people. There are some straight homers out there like Vic the Trick

I don't think Kobe went up to management and threatened them to get Phil fired. I think that management (those dumb idiots) stopped contract negotiations on their own hoping to make the Lakers more appealing to Kobe.

Tell me why he sent his people to talk to coach K after game 2 of the finals then?

I don't think Kobe went up to management and said, "Trade Shaq, or else . . ." Remember, it was Shaq who demanded the trade because he was fed up with the management. Shaq may have left because he didn't want to play with Kobe. That is a high possibility. But I don't think Kobe told management to force Shaq to leave.

[b] Naw, he just told em, I wont sign if you keep Shaquille on the roster next year.

When Kobe said that he would still sign this contract had Shaq still been there, I'm not so sure about that. I think that if Shaq stayed, the Kobe would have left.

Tell me why Kupcake lied and said he and Kobe never talked. You think a team would trade away a Shaq without knowing their other best player was coming back? Either they are dumb and stupid or they are liars, and I take option # 2 because they've shown themselves to be backstabbers and set this entire thing up.

Is it just me or do all threads involving Kobe turn to MJ comparisons or whatever and sooner or later someone breaks the ice and Kobe fans and non-Kobe/BBall fans in general blast each other(.?)

Since we're on the subject, when can we expect Kobe's first retirement?

In the NBA, off court presence doesn't matter anyway. The best players in the league can get away with murder and still get more respect than the upstanding off-court individuals like Malone, Grant Hill, David Robinson and the like. The NBA is for thugs now-a-days and everyone should be prepared for lying, cheating, and plain ole debauchery.
