First of all, I'm almost 100 percent positive that any trade involving coaches can only be for draft picks.

You are right on this part...they can't be traded along with other players. I know this because the Clippers would look so much different if they could. There would be no Deandre Jordan there, he would be in Boston, which I would love. And also KG probably wouldn't be in Minny and Pierce wouldn't be in WSH. They would be out in LA with Doc but because of some rules the trade couldn't happen. And it was because of that. That you can't trade players and coaches together.

According to ESPN, DeMarre Carroll could receive a four-year, $50 million contract in free agency this summer.

I know he had an outstanding Playoff run, but outside of Atlanta, I don't know if any team would be willing to pay that much.

Are these the type of deals we're expecting to see this summer before the TV deal renews the following year?

Carroll is worth it IMO. Excellent two-way player, Atlanta's most underappreciated player when it came to their success this season.

None of which he can control, though....

And outside of injuries, none of that has seemed to impact his play.

Don't know if he's worth $12-13 Mil a year. Good player but I don't know if he can put up similar or better numbers(if you're paying him that much than you have to expect he'll get better)in any other system.
