Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
Coach who I wouldn't suspect that is a big name...
Doc Rivers and Rick Carlisle are ones who are both "plausible" yet would be totally shocking.
Doc for underachieving with his team and the huge meltdown, Rick...because maybe the Mavs FO wants Rondo more? IDK.Too Old To Game Club

Wouldn't be surprised if it was George Karl if it's true. Sacramento is a ****ed up enough franchise to do that kind of thing.Comment

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
Man, if the Heat fired Spo, I'd imagine about 29 other NBA franchises scrambling over themselves to get him on their staff as either a HC or an assistant.
Pop is a non-starter. Dude could murder someone and still be the HC of the Spurs.
Maybe a one and done coach? Although I'm not sure anyone would be truly shocked if either Scott or Fisher got fired. And for Pack, maybe Kidd is moving on again.Too Old To Game Club

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
Same reason Scott Brooks got fired, the team went as far as they could with that coach. The Pacers last year (13-14) had so many internal issues and all the talk was how Vogel didn't have credibility in the locker room. The Pacers team that went to 2 ECF no longer has an open window. The PG injury set them back, Lance is gone, West is older and is probably trade bait now with a big expiring contract (and the dude deserves to ring chase), Hibbert is forever mediocre...etc. They need new blood. Vogel wouldn't be a bad choice to coach a rebuilding team, it's just my opinion if Brooks can get fired, I don't see why Vogel couldn't either.
Teams that fire coaches for the sake of firing them are the same ones that are constantly floating in mediocrity every year and not showing any progress aside from one fluke *** year they may have.
And OSU, I definitely don't think Carlisle is anywhere near the hot seat, especially if it comes down to Cuban and Donnie Nelson having to chose between he and Rondo.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
How about Dwane Casey? Back to back first round exits, including getting washed by the Wizards this post season. I know he just signed an extension last year but they finished the season 16-19 and looked like they didn't belong during the playoffs.[NYK|DAL|VT]

I'm going to throw a name out there...Randy Wittman. I know he got to the 2nd round and the games were close without Wall, but maybe it is a similar situation like in New Orleans where they feel they need to go in a different direction to progress further along. He's been on everyone's hot seat for quite some time...XBL & PSN: zasbury25Comment

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
Maybe I'm wrong, but with two key players coming off injury, I'm pretty sure the last thing I want is for Thibs to be hired in the offseason if I'm Kobe or Julius Randle.
Then again, I think Thibs is incredibly overrated.Too Old To Game Club

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
With how this league rotates coaches, you'd be better off making a list of coaches that are locked in at their own spot:
Steve Kerr
Mike Budenholzer
Brad Stevens
David Blatt
Quin Snyder
Doc Rivers
Greg Popovic
Rick Carlisle
Dave Joerger
Frank Vogel
Anyone else is really fair game, IMO... Stotts and Wittman have been successful but have more than their fair share of doubters within their own fanbase. Same with McHale.
I'm gonna go with Steve Clifford. The Hornets looked awful most of the year.Twitter: @TyroneisMaximus

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
Well unless Ballmer does double duty and fires Doc as GM and coach, then I'll go with Wittman, even though I'm not sure that is a "big surprise".
Sounds more like click bait from Sheridan than anything.Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles
