Unless the Cavs don't sign Tristan AND Love walks, they won't have nearly the amount of money needed to pay Wade, plus the Cavs would have a surplus of SGs and hardly any bigs. This is click bait.

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
How can you build a decent offense around a PG (I say around because Rubio needs the ball in his hands) that shoots 36% on open looks? On a good team, that guy is unplayable.
IIRC, Kerr put Bogut on him and told Bogut to just ignore him. Joerger had no choice but to pull him because he was destroying their spacing. That move was the turning point in the series.
He played 32 minutes in game 3, 15 minutes in game 4, sat game 5 with a hamstring, then played 6 minutes in the closeout game.
As for Allen, in game 3 he had 4 steals and was averaging 3.7 in the playoffs at that point. I'm pretty sure he got hurt in game 4 and was never the same after that. GS didn't shut him down at all, and if he were healthy, I'm sure Memphis would've been fine with his offensive output considering what he contributed on the other end against Curry and Klay.Comment

#Cavs Kevin Love: "I expect to be suiting up by Game 1." For the Cavs? "Yes, sir."

^ That's regular season Game 1 FYI not NBA Finals. Probably time to put the KLove rumors to bed...anything can happen but I get the feeling he's staying.
Also, he made amends with Olynk.Comment

Do the Cavs even have the money to keep the current team together? Just looked and they have tons of free agents on the team.

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
TT is almost assuredly going to get picked back up, and Love will be going nowhere if the Cavs have anything to say about it. Shump should be back as he's a RFA, and Smith has a player option.
It's dependent upon Gilbert and how much he wants to spend to keep the team together, and how repeater tax affects them.Too Old To Game Club

Entirely up to Dan Gilbert.

He's been saying it all year, a long with flatly saying no to any Laker talk, still don't get why it was a rumor...Comment

That rumor has been around well before he got traded to Cleveland. A couple years old IIRC.#RespectTheCultureComment

He went to UCLA, that's been around since he got drafted cause him staying in Minnesoa his whole career was never a question.

If Love was smart he would opt in on the final year of his contact and look for the BIG Pay Day in 2016 when the CAP goes up

About going to he Lakers? Yeah I knew about those. Only mentioned them because he straight up said "no" to any scenario where he'd go there earlier this season.
I was talking about the rumors concerning him leaving this summer, since he's been talking about staying in Cleveland from the jump...Comment

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
Pretty sure that's what he's going to do. It doesn't make sense to opt out this year and sign a long-term deal when he can get more in another year.Comment

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
Personally, I am not sold on Gentry being the right guy for the job in New Orleans. From what has been reported, one of his main selling points was that Davis was being underutilized on the offensive end and I am sure that will be music to Davis's ears. Gentry is a great offensive mind, but the problem is that New Orleans needs more help on the defensive side to take that next step towards being a contender...their defensive rating was one of the worst in the league and they don't turn teams over much at all.
Gentry's track record with his former teams was that they were good on the offensive side but not so hot on the defensive end. Hopefully, picking up the pace will help a bit, but Gentry needs to find a great defensive-minded assistant coach for his staff. Someone needs to come up with a good team-defense scheme because they don't have a lot of good individual defenders currently on the roster. I am sure they won't have many problems on the offensive side, but it will be interesting to see how the Pelicans get better on the defensive end.XBL & PSN: zasbury25Comment
