What was Hoiberg talking about at his presser today? Was it your typical Coachspeak talk about how he's going to do the opposite of the last coach basically?

Mike D’Antoni met with Denver Nuggets management to discuss the franchise’s head coaching opening, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Denver general manager Tim Connelly conducted a sit-down with D’Antoni in California on Tuesday, league sources said.

              I'm actually excited!

              Hope it happens.

The guy is the greatest coach ever ... in terms of fantasy basketball

On a serious note, Mike Malone is probably the best fit for that team.

                D'Antoni.

Just the guy to render Faried totally useless.

All the great assistant coaches out there and they consider D'Antoni?

He was a gimmick coach and a one-trick pony. But Denver gonna Denver I guess.

Out of curiosity, how come Faried plays limited minutes?

Looking at his stats, he's been averaging around 27-28 minutes for the past 3 seasons. Not to mention, he signed a 5 yr, $60 million extension last year.

Now I haven't been watching him play much this season but from what I saw in the Olympics, the guy was a beast who hustles very hard.

I thought it was his rift with Brian Shaw but even under Melvin Hunt, he barely cracked the 30 minute mark consistently. Perhaps it's more than just the coaches but management as well?

He's a poor defender and has no range on his jumper or a post-up game.

He's nothing more than a hustle player who got paid.

Am I the only one who thinks D'Antoni would be good there? Lol I mean, I'd rather see someone new get a chance, but I don't see why this would be a bad fit.

That roster is still massively flawed

I'd love to see D'Antoni get another shot somewhere but I'm biased because he gave me so many great memories here in Phoenix. His system though...Lawson can make plays but he can't shoot like Nash and no one on that team is a good 3 point shooter. It's a bunch of guys that shoot around 35% or less from 3, so if it's gonna work in Denver, they're gonna need different players.

Well yeah, of course their roster is still a mess. I guess what I'm saying is I don't think he makes them any worse.

Would like to see him as assistant, paired with someone who understands D. Don't think you can win something with him in total control.

D'Antoni is far from a gimmick coach and/or a one trick pony. Those Phoenix teams were so much fun. If he was hired you'd obviously need to go get a good defensive coach to pair with him though.
