Thanks guys... my mind went blank there. I guess he has come up short in the playoffs. I never knew his playoff record was under .500. Or I just didn't notice.

I know others feel differently on the topic of letting long tenured coaches who've had success go, but I am a believer in sometimes a new voice is needed. Now the pressure is on Chicago to find a competent replacement. Bar has been set high, so you can't have the franchise in worse shape two years from now. Easier said than done.

I don't disagree but at the same time, some of these teams are making changes for the sake of making changes and it usually ends up hurting them.

IDK, I feel like the NBA is the one sport where patience isn't necessarily a must but not something you should just brush aside as if it's not important(this also depending on the team as well and how they're set up ATM).

Man Thibs playoff record being held against him is a damn shame. This team had too many injuries for anybody to expect much better.

But I can understand them going in a different direction if their envisioned future is a different style of play than what Thibs brings to the table.. Because we all know he ain't adjusting his style.

As long as Thibs is in control of the rotations, his teams aren't achieving much in the playoffs. Guys can't play 40+ minutes all season and still be fresh in the postseason.

Perfect assistant coach. Flawed head coach.

That and the fact that his offensive schemes were pretty archaic and stale.

Need Hoiberg to pull off the ultimate coup and hire Thibs as a defensive assistant haha
