I get why people bash him. It's because he's posts BS.

But the same people that bash him, are the same ones posting his "BS" over here. Hell, I only said anything because I see an issue was beginning to get made about sorry *** Bargnani supposedly changing his mind and a silly comparison trying to get made to what DJ did.

Like I said, funny how that works lol.

Denver loves having multiple undersized guards.

And he's 22.

OKC messed up a good thing by not retaining Harden. They can't risk Kanter going on to some other team to become a 25/12 guy - especially in the same division. especially on KD's last year.
I know he's a very good offensive player but the thing is if he was just mediocre defensively it would be fine but he's much worse than that and it didn't get better when you had Ibaka in there. I just don't see it going very well. we shall see.

I just think it's kinda funny that Bismack Biyombo got what, like $5M for being a one-way player? Dude can't play offense but he's a good defender and he's still young/athletic and has room to get better offensively.

Then Kanter comes around and is in the same situation, except instead of excelling defensively he excels offensively. And he gets $70M.

I mean, I get why. It's harder to find offensively-gifted bigs than defensive-minded bigs, but that's a huge gap lol.

That's because there's no "double double" that shows how good people are on defense.

Oh and the whole phrase....offense wins fans, defense wins championships.

Idk, he didn't play enough games with Ibaka to know if that's really going to be true or not.

How good is Bismack's defense really though? He's a decent shot blocker for a guy who's 6'9 but that's about it. He's not a very good defensive rebounder, and offensively he's a liability.

He's good in small doses, like Joel Anthony. But that's about it.

I'd take a guy who can give me 19 and 11 and play 30 minutes over a guy who is only good for about half of that and rebounds like my shooting guard. Defense or no defense.

Enes Kanter reminds me of David Lee before we all realized David Lee was a net negative. Nice, round counting stats but his team always seems to do worse when he's on the floor.

That said, the Thunder had to match. They can't afford to look cheap going into KD's walk year. While Kanter isn't worth 18mil a year, there's really no difference between 8mil or 18mil for the Thunder right now. It's not like they could have taken that extra 10 and got another player. If they have an owner willing to pay the tax, it's a no brainer match.

Biyombo got 3m. Thats a decrease from his last deal. Hes great defensively but not as good offensively. But being on a raptors team that is a top 10 offensive team in the league, thats a good role for him to be in. He doesnt need to contribute offensively. Hes brought in to rebound and block shots

But he doesn't do either of those very well anyways. Assuming he'll play 15ish minutes a game, in 2013-14 with Charlotte he averaged 4.8 rebounds and 1 block in about 14 minutes a game. Idk how he has a "great" label on defense that I keep seeing. He's average.

Yea yea, I'm with majingir. I don't think it's about the real player value, but his position on the roster. Biyombo fits perfectly on their roster. He doesn't need to take one shot to fit there. He's got players behind him to do the offensive work. On the flip side, Kanter has Ibaka and Adams who can cover up for him.

Place Kanter with Dirk, Lee or Boozer and it's gonna be a mess. Place Biyombo with Reggie Evans and watch the world burn offensively.

I think it's a no brainer to match the offer.
