I think Durant + RW is great, they just don't have the depth those other teams do after this years offseason.

I think they lack depth as well, but KD and Russ are just so damn good that they automatically have to be in that mix. Those dudes can will you to series wins just on pure talent alone and every year they've been healthy since 2011 they've made it to at least the conference finals. 2011-Conference finals, 2012-NBA Finals, 2014-Conference Finals.

Cannot wait to see Durant, Westbrook and Ibaka back at it.

Still think they should have went for Hibbert this off season.

I think he would have fit in better than Kanter especially now that Ibaka can stretch the floor. Plus he's cheaper and the Lakers got him for nothing.

okc isnt quite as deep, as the others but imo its not like there not deep at all either. they have a solid bench with augustin waiters and kanter?( i belive i heard hes coming off the bench). with kd westbrook and ibaka starting, morrow hitting 40+% on 3's and adams defense and hustle, i dont think they lack talent to push them out of the top 5. especially when you consider they made it to wcf with reggie jackson as there only bench offensive player, i think theyll be alright.

I think Hibbert is too slow for the amount of running OKC wants to do. Heck, I think he's too slow to be effective in the western conference period. The fact that he is going to be a free agent after the season makes it worse for OKC because they need to have their house in order when KD hits the market.

Not a fan of Kanter though. Doesn't play any D and is a terrible passer out of the post. Even with the cap jump I think that's an overpay.

All the talk about Golden State, OKC, LAC, Houston, and San Antonio makes me think that Memphis is going to sneak up on people again somehow.

There's no way that those top 5 teams all stay healthy and play as well as they should, IMO. At least one is going to disappoint.

Yeah I definitely agree with this, they don't miss out of my top 5 either, I only listed 4 teams lol.

And I was only listing them based on depth/talent. Hence why I said "could". There are always lots of variables to consider. Health is key, can Houston play defense semi-consistently, will Lawson and Harden mesh, will Lance fit with the Clippers, etc.

Wouldn't Ibaka stretching the floor mean you would want a low post scorer that could compliment that? Kanter is a better offensive player and rebounder than Roy.

Roy would definitely be a better rim protector just not sure how large of a need that is with Ibaka and Adams.

Well Ibaka can stretch the floor to not clog the lane for Durant and Brook too. But I guess you're right, maybe they need more offense than I think they do.

I thought of the Great and missed Perk Chamberlain and thought Hibbert could take his role.

Well, either he stops crying, suits up and acts like a professional or he sits out and loses out on millions of dollars. He's under contract and the team has no obligation to move him just like they had no obligation to keep those two morons together.

Or they could trade it to a team headed towards a rebuild/youth movement type of situation. Like Kevin Martin from Minny, or Gallo from Denver.
