Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
Cousins to the Pelicans for Ryno + Tyreke + all the draft picks. Make this happen so we can see AD and Boogie destroy everyone.

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
Why would they just trade him for a pick to the Lakers? It's not that they would get a better player out of it then Boogie already is.
I would prefer something with Boston or a 3 way deal with Lakers and Magic with Vuc in it. For Boston maybe Smart, Sullinger + their 1st rounder this year, maybe a 2nd next year. Hard to value a star player who couldn't live up to his potential because the franchise is the worst in the league. I mean he is 5 years in the league now and they still haven't figured out a guard who fits his game.Comment

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
From Woj...
The DeMarcus Cousins trade buzz has picked up in recent weeks. Despite the Kings front office’s insistence that it’s not on the table, the Lakers have been making a push for the All-Star big man. It all seemed like noise, until a new report Monday night that claims Kings coach George Karl is pushing the front office to move Cousins.
From Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski:
Despite Sacramento Kings management’s public insistence that DeMarcus Cousins is unavailable in deals, coach George Karl’s intense desire to trade the All-Star center has made it increasingly unlikely this coach-star partnership can peacefully co-exist next season, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
Karl has been recruiting Kings vice president of basketball operations Vlade Divac and multiple players on the Kings’ roster to unite with him in making the case to owner Vivek Ranadive that Cousins needs to be traded, league sources said.
That’s…a big deal. If Karl’s desire to trade Cousins is really that strong, it’s tough to imagine they hang onto him and deal with the drama that will come with it, especially after these reports. This is going to be a fun summer.#RespectTheCultureComment

I guess maybe something like:
LA Gets:
Cousins
Orlando Gets:
#6 pick
Sacramento Gets:
#2 pick
Elfrid Payton
Julius Randle
or something? I don't know. I'm not sure these teams are really a match, but Sacramento needs to get a high draft pick + something else back if they're going to trade him IMO.
I know they aren't the win-now players George Karl apparently wants, but the Kings were very high on Payton last year and Randle is still a solid prospect. And at the same time, Orlando gets a great pick for Payton and can replace him with Mudiay while also adding Porzingis or Hezonja into the mix. And the Lakers get a franchise player to build around for after Kobe retires, while also helping to make LA competitive in the mean time.Last edited by Yeah...THAT Guy; 06-23-2015, 08:43 AM.NFL: Bills

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
These proposed/rumored trades for Cousins are painful, I can't imagine ORL or SAC going through with them. I swear if that franchise manages to land another star center..."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier
