Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
Just an example of why the NBA has **** like that lockout happen. Owners are dumb asses. Malone was doing a pretty solid job with this team all things considered and then they fire him over nonsense and now have a guy that apparently wants to ship out their best player. Had they just left Malone alone and gave him some time, they could be on a nice little upward trajectory right now. Instead Kings fans are probably wishing the team did just go on to Seattle at this point.

As long as it don't have anything to do with the Spurs I agree. Stop trying to get out of this lottery future man. Y'all time is here. That seat at the head of the table needs to be freed up lol

LaMarcus holds the key to reactivating the Death Star.
If that fool goes to Dallas expect some BTH/KD hate from me next season, lolComment

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
This is my exact thinking behind the situation, and also why i cant be mad if la just keeps the pick and drafts okafor. We have to build a team if we want to attract fa's. We cant just walk up into the fa market with cousins and old man kobe and think that'll work for building a future. Randle imo could at worst be a 3rd 4th option on a good team, and 2nd option at best(1st option if were being overly optimistic) and clarkson could fill our pg needs since its clear that he can play the spot fairly well(while being a matchup nightmare at 6'5). At this point i will hand our 2nd pick and the rest of our laker roster(kobe included) if we could pickup cousins. Then sign a couple of good fa's and fill the rest of the team out with d leaguers till were in serious contention, or at least in a position to make noise in the playoffs. But randle and clarkson are OFF LIMITS.Lakers

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
Best case scenario is that Cleveland can keep Love and trade Andy as well as Haywood's contract, to land some decent bench pieces. Though I can't imagine anyone that would make a trade to acquire Andy, he's vastly overpaid so I assume he's staying put.
Cleveland needs some bench guys who can give a little at both ends.
Best case scenario: Norris Cole as a guard, Danny Green/Carroll/Dudley/C Brewer as some two-way wing guys.
Worst case: Mo Williams as a guard, Dunleavy/D Wright/G Green as shooters off the bench (upgrades over Jones and replacement for Marion).
If Love is out they will need some scoring extra punch. Wes Mathews, Monta Ellis, Lou Williams would all be excellent fits. Not sure how well the salary works with that, but they all make less than Andy does. If Love is gone, Smith gone, and trading Haywood surely they could afford one of them?
Thad Young, Thomas Robinson, Brandon Bass would all be decent players to serve as TT's backup.

If Kobe retires lol.
I don't think LAL is the best fit for him anyways. Kinda hoping the Nuggets trade goes through.

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
If Sacramento ends up trading Cousins, they're even dumber than I ever thought. One of the most dominant players in the league on one of the best contracts around. Put some shooters around him and things will start to go well. Also, get a pg that can shoot an open three and throw an entry pass. Darren Collison certainly can't be in their long term plans.
I don't even know who the Kings' GM is right now. Pete D'Alessandro, the GM last year, left for a position with the Nuggets (which is odd because iirc he was a part of the reason for firing Malone) and I haven't heard of anyone taking over. I don't even know what Vlade's actual position is or how much say he has. That whole front office is a mess.
And now they want to trade Rudy after signing him to an extension last year? Come on.
