I mean, that's best case scenario for the Cavs since the max contract will be much more next offseason.

I just dont understand why a player in Love's position would opt out. It doesnt make a whole lot of sense. The only thing I can think of is that shoulder injury spooked him a bit and he just wants to make sure he gets a big contract.

Right now I put it at 50/50 that he comes back.

He can make more money by signing what's essentially another 1 year deal rather than opting in. Opting in would have cost him about $3 million.

Someone will probably throw the max his way, so it makes sense. At the end of Griffin's press conference he said both LeBron and Love will opt out and re-sign so I wouldn't panic just yet.

And that's what's gonna happen. No reason to think otherwise.

Screw that, they should just sell him on not having to worry about Kelly Olynk yanking his shoulder again.

Riley thought LeBron was coming back too...

Wouldn't be surprised one bit if Love bolted.

I bet secretly the Cavs wouldn't mind Love going away. Maybe make a hail Mary run at Gasol or Aldridge.
