I know they're extremely high on Russell. I've been reading that in the papers out here in LA since the season ended.

Now if they actually use the #2 on him is another story. Today is def exciting, can't wait to see what transpires.

    Cousins
    Russell
    Okafor
    LMA

I have no clue who ends up here but it'll be fun finding out.

I get if guys would rather just draft at 2 and be done with it, but can we stop talking about cap space like that's a real issue for the Lakers right now? Cousins is on a contract right now for the next three years where he'll never make more than 16.8 million dollars in a single year. As of THIS moment right now if he was on the Lakers going into the 2017 season which is the year that matters cause the cap jumps up to around 85-90 million dollars, the Lakers would be on the hook for 20,933,273 dollars assuming Nick Young has been traded by that point. At most, with draft picks and maybe a few cheap free agents on short contracts and the like you're looking at going into that cap jump offseason with about 42-60ish million dollars in salary? Then you'd STILL have him under contract through that season with his bird rights to re-sign him in the offseason. As long as they don't plan on handing Kobe another 40 ****ing million dollars for 2 years, cap flexibility will not be hurt by getting Cousins come on now.

Im high on Okafor so given that I rather have a good young center on a rookie contract, Randle, Clarkson and the cap space to address the number of issues the Lakers roster has than Cousins and less flexibility to address the exact same issues the Lakers with or without Cousins.

I've decided to stop trying to argue common sense. If the Lakers fans are happy and convinced that they are better off as a team and financially without Cousins then let them be happy and convinced. Right? It seems to be a lost cause.

Yea I read on twitter earlier this morning, from SI, that there is a 99.9% he is not coming back.

Come on Portland, take Noah off our hands. Close to 13.5 million dollars coming off your books next year. Perfect for rebuilding/making a run at someone next offseason to pair with Dame. We did you guys a solid, now you can do us one and send LMA to where he should have been this whole time.

He's in better shape now too. I really wonder what kind of a player he can become but I think he has talent, desire to be good and a stolid work ethic.
His shape wasn't a downside to him at all before hand. He could improve but being in better shape isn't what he needs. He needs to improve his basketball I.Q. More so than anything, learn to be patient and pick his spots. He scored many points and idk about his handles I can't say they're great because he turns it over so much but that's not because he can't dribble more so of his impatience and picking th wrong points and ways of attacking. It his harsh but points are still there none the less.

He was 5th in total turnovers in the SEC...SEC of all conferences. He's not even a guard with that many turnovers. You can say well he was the main option so he had the ball in his hand more and that's not accurate because he had the ball in his hand too much by his own choice. He past on open looks for guys at the corner everytime. Trust me I was yelling at the tv half of the time during the NCAA tournament because I knew as soon as he put his head down it was gonna be a shot and sometimes it was a made one and then sometimes they were downright awful shots.

Don't get me wrong the dudes got potential and isn't trash. He's just not as good as everyone makes him out to be and in terms of keeping him and clarkson and the pick for cousins...the pick is the only thing that you should base that off of on whether or not to accept the deal, not the potential of Julius Randle and Jordan Clarkson because head case or not they are not even in Cousins league.

why do you want him off the team? Or is it just you want Aldridge/cap space?
I thought Bulls fans liked him because he was a high energy guy who at least was on the court unlike that other guy lol.

That's very possible. I gotta say I'am kinda high on him. I think he will be a pain to guard from the tripple threat in the mid post if he can improve that jumper. Even from the perimeter against other power forwards. His handles are really good for a guy his size.

But I agree it's possible we overrate theses young guys.

Kinda funny people are bashing the best center in the NBA for playing on a crappy team and putting up numbers yet saying NO Clarkson is off limits when he put up numbers on an even worse team.
