He's still following the Celtics, they just checked on a radio show I am watching. That was around 20 mins ago.

I guess things can always change, but was just told flat-out that Charlotte is not sending No. 9 to the Celtics.

As far as pgs who are we supposed to get? The fa market is unusually dry right now on good fa pgs, and trading randle and clarkson and our pick will leave us with nothing to offer in a trade, for a pg. Were against getting cousins because if we get him that means we gotta gamble in free agency, and we could very well lose. What if we face worse case scenario, and pick up one decent player(like carroll or harris) but no one else? Now we got a team of cousins, a slightly above average role player, and d leaguers cuz we struck out in fa cuz no one wants to play here. With keeping randle clarkson and our pick, we'll have 3 players with allstar/borderline allstar potential. I want boogie real bad, but we take a bigger gamble if we trade for him, than just keeping what we have.

basically its get boogie and pray to god and hope we get good fa's, or keep what we got, 3 players with high ceiling. Btw none of us think clarkson is irriplaceable. But hes shown he could be a good pg(i think hes capable of at least 15 and 6 by year 3 maybe 21 and 7 in his prime, tho 18 and 6 is more realistic) and right now our only alternative is rondo. So yea i really rather just keep clarkson.

You don't have to have a star at point guard to win in this league, especially if you have stars elsewhere on the roster. . If the goal is long term future as what you're talking about, then it's not like you need to win right away anyway. If you lay out your plan for DMC, I would think if it's a solid plan he'll roll with it. Usually, players want to bail out of situations where team's have no plans for the future or no clue what the hell they're doing. Plus again, at the end of the day, they can give him the most money and with the exception of Duh, that ALWAYS wins out in the NBA.

King, I'm not even sure who your rant is directed at unless you were quoting my post just as a reference point.

I will say one thing regarding this:

You were included talking about FAs not coming to Sacramento. Nobody was saying all FAs wanted was to play with DeMarcus. IMO the biggest reason nobody has been going to the Lakers in the last few years has been Kobe. I've said that every year too, so it's nothing new. Nobody wants to play with him and his contract has been an albatross for the team. As long as Kobe is there you're getting the blame for everything because he can do no wrong in LA to too many Laker fans/management. With him leaving, you'll be able to get more guys in there.

Unless we can get Okafor I'd rather keep Smart and make a run at Love and Pierce. Then use #9 (if that rumor is true) on Myles Turner or WCS. I'd prefer to keep the future picks, if possible.

This is probably all 2k moves, but a fan can dream.

Well, the NBA wants us to think that so we'll watch the draft. I wouldn't go in expecting something earth shattering out of nowhere.
