I love how people would have 0 doubt giving away all their assets for Cousin when he's a notorious headcase and whose team has been in the lottery every seasons. Good for you

You would think the most talented big men of his generation would have achieved something with his team at least once.

I'am sure the lakers are pushing for that deal to happen though.

He has attitude problems, but at the same time he is an insanely talented and gifted player who really, truly gives a ****.

I mean, really? Julius Randle?? A 6'8" 4 who doesn't project as an above average defender and can't shoot? Who missed his entire rookie year?

Jordan ****ing Clarkson??? A combo guard who put up decent numbers on a horrendous team as a 22 year old rookie? There are Jordan Clarksons all over the league. You realize he is ONE year younger than DeMarcus?

Yeah, the #2 pick is a big thing to give up. But even then, who are you drafting? If Okafor reaches his maximum potential (which is faaaar from a guarantee) then you know what he ends up as? Demarcus ****in Cousins.

You guys are nuts. I don't understand.

Thank you. I thought I was the only one laughing at these Lakers fans trade "proposals".

Based on what? He's gotten better every year in a joke of an organization. He has shown a commitment to the game. He has shown he cares.

He's probably a dick. Kobe was probably a dick. KG was probably a dick. Jordan was probably a dick. Shaq was probably a dick. They all led championship teams. Talent and hard work are what matters at the end of the day, and he has shown both.

Yeah, let's knock him for not accomplishing anything by the time he's 24 with one of the most dysfunctional franchise in sports in one of the best conferences of all time.

Its not even that there's zero doubt, there is never zero doubt. There is much more doubt in players like Randle and Okafor, though.

Cousins was also ejected for throwing another player to the floor, and later in the same week, was caught standing completely still on defense during one of his team’s critical late-game possessions.
He was at it again on Tuesday during Sacramento’s blowout loss to the Warriors, at least in terms of his defense. Here we have Cousins remaining motionless as his man sprints to the rim, where Stephen Curry finds him for an alley-oop off of a sideline out of bounds play.
See stuff like that. That's 2014-2015 season. It's not like it's years ago.

Man you people are really cuddling that Cousins guy. So he isn't responsible for anything that happens to him ?

I'am not even against the trade but it's not like the lakers are ****ed if they don't do it. Not at all.

Yes, he is blatantly immature. There is no debating this. It is also exacerbated by the headaches playing under such an unstable franchise as Sacramento. I don't think there is any debating that either. He was playing the best ball of his life, no issues, then he gets sick... Malone gets fired... Ty Corbin of all people gets hired...

Could he handle all of this stuff much better? Hell yeah he could. He's still an insanely good player who competes when things aren't falling apart around him. He's much more Rasheed Wallace than Andrew Bynum.

Give me Cousins in a playoff series and you're giving me a guy who can win you the series. A guy who also obviously cares about winning. These outbursts are (a large part, likely not 100%) the product of being in losing situations. I highly doubt something like refusing to defend an inbounds play will happen in game 5 of the 2nd round of the playoffs, which in all honesty is what really matters in the end.

I see you're completely sold on him. No problem with that but not everybody is.

Cousins makes them better, but the question is how much better especially considering who else is/will be on the roster.

So if I was a Lakers Fan, I'd stand pat as well. Now tell me why I'm crazy? Lol

We're so used to fleecing other scrub teams for they ****.

Is that what you'd rather read?

                  Cousins yes / Cousins no

I'm definitely not feeling it as passionately as some of these non Laker fans who are so emphatic about us getting Boogie if we can.

But I see em working... emplore us to get Boogie so they can turn around down the road and talk **** about Cousins / Lakers or both lol.

Looks like the Mav's are going to offer Danny Green something like 10-12 mil annually...

seems a little steep, but I am happy for him if that's what he gets...

Damn, Dallas always spending that money.

At least he will fit well for what they need. They still need a PG and a C though right?

3 & D guys getting paid! I'd be extremely worried about him on his own outside of SAS's system.

They need everything. Basically the entire team is going into free agency besides Parsons and Dirk.

I watched Randle and every single game he played in college and hell some in high school and honestly I don't know what people see in him. He overpowered dude in colleges which is honestly how he got his points. He was reckless when he drove in the lane and took God awful shots because he got to amped up. His defense was nothing to brag about. Honestly the only thing he has that's above the rest is his hustle but honestly that's not always a good thing with him.

For that reason and because cousins is so good and young I think the Lakers are crazy not to want him for clarkson and randle because them at even their max potential isn't worth cousins. If the laker fans wanna sell me on keeping a fresh young nucleus and they truly believe Okafor will be a big eventually close to the caliber of cousins (which I think he will be) then I see your argument. Personally I think cousins behavior problems could be fixed if he left Sacramento but I think he needs a good coach and leader and I don't think that guy is Byron Scott so I hope he doesn't go there. You can build around Cousins considering hes under contract for I believe 3 years at not a bad price btw. Cousins isn't gonna attract FA's I get that but it certainly helps and next year if they got him and some other pieces and Kobe stayed healthy that could be an interesting team.
