I don't know if I could blame Kidd for that. I am sure he signed off on it but I doubt he said "Get me MCW!!!"

Well he didn't get frustrated with TD's shortcomings from those standpoints..

Bracing myself now for all Warriors related stuff that will be written throughout the season. They start fast and it's the regular season is pointless, start slow and it's a hundred think pieces on KD leaving OKC for GSW. I know there's an audience for that, and many will have fun debating whichever way it goes, but neither is for me.

Eastern Conference Playoff race is what I look most forward to following. A bunch of interesting, yet flawed teams that should be entertaining to watch for various reasons.

Where there is smoke, there is fire.

Unless they can get back a talent at the level of Cousins, Davis or Griffin then I wouldn't make a change.

I read reports about him being a malcontent, but chalked it up as a thing of the past or the team throwing shots on his way out.

TD wasn't flashy but I don't know if he was not athletic. I don't know if any 7 footer of his generation could run a break with and without the ball like he could.

KG, but that doesn't make your point any less relevant lol.

Didn't see anything in that article to suggest that he was acting up or being a "distraction" like McMullen made it seem.

Regardless, I don't see anything happening on that front until next year at the earliest but I am bit surprised to see THAT come out after one year. Guess they started having buyer's remorse after that OKC Series.

I don't think any of those could realistically happen, unless Cousins wants out and they are forced to make the move.

Davis is extremely unlikely. Maybe with 4 future firsts lol.

Oh I'm already to see a few people here play the "How come y'all not treating them like you did Lebron when he got to Miami?" Card.

Maybe, but that series was lost once Timmy couldn't anchor the defense or even remain on the court. It didn't help that West and Diaw contributed very little.

LaMarcus (and to a lesser extent Kawhi) is the only reason the series was competitive. They clearly had the Spurs outmatched with a rotation of Ibaka/Adams/Kanter, Donovan making smart adjustments and Kawhi (at pivotal moments) unable to contain either Westbrook or Durant.

Maybe he was bitching or complaining behind the scenes (about the performance of Diaw, West & Duncan), but that seems out of character even for him.

Carmelo Anthony thinks the D-League needs to be re-branded. Can't say that I disagree with any of his thoughts here. How about you guys?

The D-League is a valuable tool for NBA teams, but it isn’t being handled correctly. Carmelo wants to change that.

“If I had it my way, I’d rebrand the whole D-League,” Anthony told ESPN. “I’d rebrand it so it’s not seen as a punishment.”

                        […]

Anthony said a major issue he has been emphasizing in collective bargaining talks is increasing the number of “two-way contracts” that allow players to play for both D-League and NBA teams, thereby creating 44-60 more jobs. He said he also has been addressing increasing pay for D-League players to make it as lucrative to play domestically as abroad, and language that will encourage all 30 NBA teams to have a D-League affiliate.

The D-League will grow from 19 to 22 teams this year, but the players eventually would like to see all 30 teams with their own affiliate, Anthony said.

Anything that can improve the product, give more players an opportunity to play and actually creates a legitimate "farm" system then I'm completely for it. This direction is exactly where the D-League needs to head and I like that a "superstar" like Carmelo is advocating these changes.

The NBA gives more support to the wnba than the D league

Turn the D-League into an actual minor league (think AAA baseball) for teams to play young guys and let them develop instead of what it is now which is a basically a rec league with no defense.

I remember the rumors that came out last year where someone supposedly overheard Pop saying Aldridge "doesn't get it", and he "doesn't know what to do with him"...never gave them any second thought.

I doubt LMA goes anywhere, especially mid season...just not how they operate in SA.

I cant remember the last deadline deal we've made tbh
