    Re: Phil Jackson on Kobe

Kobe is respected as far as his skills, but his ego, personality, team attitude are horrible. Remember him telling Tex Winters "you coach stupidly"? Things like such. The man is not beyond teaching and he wouldnt be the player he is without Phil and Shaq.

Kobe plain and simple only cares about winning if it's him that is doing it. Why complain about playing next to Shaq if you are winning rings?

Sadly once Kobe decided to take it upon himself to be the main option instead of deferring to Shaq they lost.

One thing you forget to add D4K is that Phil and Shaq are gone and Kobe not wanting to be there or liking them has much to do with it.

Shaw mostly listened to Phil, and Kobe usually broke the teams system to do whatever he wanted even if it was to the detriment of the team.

You people need to be careful about making these huge conclusions about someone's personality on the basis of what could VERY EASILY be incomplete information. How do you know that Kobe's barber hadn't been warned about this type of thing before? Maybe he has a history of "slacking off", or being late for appointments. Don't forget that he IS an employee of Kobe Bryant and Kobe was gracious enough to bring him along on the trip. On the day in question maybe Kobe said, "you can go sightseeing all morning, but i need you back by 1:00", maybe 1:00 rolled around and the barber wasn't back, maybe 2:00 rolled around and the barber still wasn't back. So, now Kobe is thinking "WTF? i bring this dude to China with me and he can't even respect one small demand I make of his time?", what would any of you do with such an ungreatful freeloader!?

I'm not saying this is what actually happened, but you really do need to be careful about making judgements based on information from sources/writers who clearly have certain motives.

                  Re: Phil Jackson on Kobe

If you guys already forgot, Phil Jackson was practically doing the same thing he did with the Bulls. The Owner suspected a mole in the organization and he assumed it was the assistant coach who he later fired, then he found out that the mole was Phil Jackson who was feeding info to Charlie Rosen who is a local writer in the Chicago area which was why he and Jerry Krause got into it.*

C'mon man, Shaq didnt go outside of the offense on his own. He did take shots away from his teammates, he wasnt sat down in his early days for not listening to the coach and he surely never told a man who won 6 rings before him that you coach stupidly.

uhmm did you watch the Bulls. Remember Krause signing Kukoc before he took care of Pippen even though he helped them win a championship and was there through the ups and downs?

Remember Krause not really wanting to pay MJ, or Phil? The man is one of the most hated former Gm's ever. Uneccessarily broke up a tried and true dynasty with arguably the best to ever play the game.

I hope you arent here defending Krause and comparing that to Phil on top of it because if you are you have started off on a bad foot.

Shaq did have problems with Phil Jackson a while back. He said something stupid like, "I used to have 2 Phils in my life, now I only have one, my stepfather."

I don't know what the whole thing was about though.
