a lot of folks are looking at kobe's situation and are saying he pimped himself, he cant succeed

i say look at what mike and pip did...kobe and odom obviously wont be them...but they can carry their squad to the playoffs like the bulls did...

dont get it twisted, the bulls were not this all world of a talented team for all 6 wins...only 98 was true dominance...

if kobe plays the right way, with the help of lamar, they will make the playoffs

kobe is all world, lamar is capable of playing four positions...gimme a break fellas...its the end of the world to compare situations

In 98 that was our weakest team to win a championship, we had so many injuries it wasnt funny. Please tell me you were referring to 96 in which the bulls were 72-10 and had the best regular season record in nba history.

there are about 10 teams in the western conference who are far better than the laker squad so explain how they make the playoffs with no dominating low post prescense or any good outside shooters???????????????????

I saw your last response to our little "discussion" here, and got all ready to type my long response...but it hit me that, we are BOTH right in so many different ways, this would NEVER end. Never. You are intelligent and knowledgeable enough to always have a damn good counter-point to whatever I type, and I can sit here and do the same with you. There is no right and wrong here.

I hate not getting the last word in an argument, but sometimes its a war of attrition, its who gets bored with the debate first. But after I quit, you STILL are in here doing it all over again with the next man...again, it takes energy to read and re-read someones post, searching for weaknesses.

I'll be at work chilling at my desk, doing my work, and some Lakers fans will IM me or come to talk to be about guess what... Kobe, the Lakers and such. It's what we talk about. Sure we talk about the whole NBA, but their primary thing is what's happening in LA. My thing is I wonder how the fellas at OS feel. I'll chime in. I've posted some not so favorable Tim Thomas articles, but you probably dont read those. Others too like C-Webb destroying Sac's chemistry, but if you are just looking for a Kobe thread, I'll be there, just like you guys will. Diversity of opinion is what keeps the discussion going, and when you are worn doesnt neccessarily mean I've reached that point and vice versa.

If Kobe was a coattail rider all those years, and was not getting the credit that he deserved, why not just try and win by yourself.

This is how it went in the past:
Person A: I think that [Insert: T-mac, PP, AI] is better than Kobe.
Person B: But Kobe has 3 rings.
Person A: He only has those rings because of Shaq.
