I often hear from AA players in the NBA how they grew up with just a single parent and how they were basically poor. It seems like a lot of them grew up in the "hood".

Everybody knows the NHL has very few Blacks in the league and out of the 4 major sports it has by a wide margin the fewest criminal incidents involving players.

Basically Blacks are over-represnted in criminal matters. I don't understand why this is, but the numbers speak for themselves.

You would think wealthy semi-educated people would good decisions in life but that's not the case.

I can basicaly be interpreted that the NHL is predominantly white and the ghetto has alot more black residents then white 1s

you do realize that the term ghetto is mostly used for poor neighborhoods...but do you also realize not every AA lives in a poor neighborhood

What makes it puzzling is that all of the players are wealthy and most have spent time in college where it's suppose to make you more educated and become a well rounded individual.

The old say is you can take the person out of the hood but you can't hood out of a person. Its lack of home and moral training..

A similar problem exist in Canada involving Native Americans. They are vastly over represented in the criminal justice system.
