    i givve him an 8/8.5

he isn't that great of a scorer yet...but if he does, he'll be definately a 9 or above

his defense is just sick and his off the ball movement is great

Weakside shot blockers from the SF position are priceless imo. They add so much to a teams overall D.
I agree. I just don't see him being a teams focal point on offense, like PP. I also don't see him as a 45 minute per game anchor on D, he's to frail to camp underneath and control the paint like Ben Weezy....In the playoffs, can he still score when he's CONTANTLY doubled and tripled? Can he dominate the glass for a whole series? He makes plays, but can he carry a team if someone is injured? These are all unknowns. I think some guys are rating him based on a few nice plays recently...

Given that he'll play his entire career most likely in Utah, where "team" rules...he'll never have to carry a team etc. Ie, you can't even tripple team a Jazz player...as they actually make you pay (unlike a lot of NBA teams).

For what he does, he's ideal for them. Ben Wallace proved you can take a team to a ring in different ways to MJ etc...

side note: I hate Utah...but man can they play team ball.

that's all Jerry Sloan. He is about due for a Coach of the Year award if they keep this up.

                      SO true....

Look at the Mailman, though. Better yet, look at the Kings and Spurs...great teams, with great unselfish chemistry...You still need a guy who can take over. San Antonio has one in TD, the Kings don't...

Spurs 2, Kings zero...Rings that is.

Will Kirilenko be able to hit those critical jumpers with 15 seconds left? Can he put the team on his shoulders and gut out a win? Can he do those things consistently? Who knows? He's an intriguing talent. If Boozergate never happened, and Boozer was a Jazz draft pick...this would easily be my second fav team behind my Cavs. Arroyo, Harpring...theyve got some great pieces.

I absolutely love Kirelenko's heart and hustle, and I am 100% sure he will be the leagues top Euro in a couple more seasons...he's just not there yet, IMO.

I'll give him a 9 as well. Don't get me wrong, though, he's QUICKLY overtaking the top SF spot in the league, and is QUICKLY becoming elite. He's my darkhorse for the MVP although its not so dark anymore. The guy is one of the four MOST talent-laden players in the league. The others are Garnett, Odom, and Marion.

He does everything, and does it excellent. Soon to be a 10.

Quote from the Salt Lake Tribune...

The fourth-year forward has played a big part in the undefeated record with his "fear factor," but it is apparently working on his coach, too - fear that the pursuit of blocked shots will result in weaker overall defense.
"We have a tendency to let people go where they want to on defense because we want to block shots," said coach Jerry Sloan, who complained about Kirilenko's unconventional habit of allowing his opponent to get past him, then poke the shot away from behind.
Still, Sloan appreciates Kirilenko's overall game, and the fact that he doesn't have to score to affect a game. The Russian forward made only three of 13 shots against the Nuggets, for example, but grabbed five offensive rebounds, made three steals and handed out three assists.
"That's who he is," Sloan said. "People think Andrei is going to get you 25 points a night, [but] that's not his game. Probably never will be. It's nice when he gets 20, 25 points, but that's not who he is. And that's where he gets in trouble, when he tries to be somebody he's not."

A knack for deflecting shots is great, but 15 points and 2 assist per game don't make him elite.
