To answer your question, the Cavs. No chance LBJ plays there if born in any state other than Ohio.
Where would the Cavs even be without him? Probably not even in Cleveland anymore

Moving a contract so they can sign Hayward. Like I was saying all this time C's fans were trying to talk these dudes up for team's stars, these dudes ain't worth trading for while trying to hoard all those damn good 1st round picks. Their value without without those picks attached is **** so they can't find anybody else to take them for nothing to clear space

That's odd because I see smart people who are payed to cover basketball talk about how coveted Jae Crowder and his contract are by GMs around the league. But hey let's go with Celtics fans building up the player.

Guys they drafted in the same timespan that the Jazz had Hayward and guys that played significant roles/minutes under Stevens, who's played a big role in a lot of those guys developing and becoming the players they are now.

The funny thing is you could make an argument that the Jazz had a 3 year head start on Boston since they had to start completely over once they let go of the rest of their original Big 3 and that was only 4 years ago. And at the time, everyone was saying that the Celtics were going to be "rebuilding" for a long time. Hell, they still think they're "rebuilding" even after last year.

Like other posters have mentioned that you keep ignoring, nobody told the Jazz to wait until Hayward's last year to start signing FAs to finally get them in the playoffs. You talk about "Washed Joe Johnson" who left Miami and took less money to play in Utah, yet he was one of their best players not just in the season but in the playoffs as well. Boris Diaw was another player who contributed all throughout the year, coming from San Antonio, in addition to George Hill.

But I'm done because all you're going to do is come up with nonsense like "Boston had a get out of jail free card", "Boston had wayyyy more advantages that Utah didn't have", or "Utah couldn't sign FAs until Hayward's last year because...it's not fair". I should've stopped after you mentioned that Franchise Tag nonsense.

You brought it up too man... said something like that's the organizations fault. CMH actually quoted that part of your post to elaborate on it.

And how you gonna say "take away Brown which I'm not sure why we need to" when all year you were thumping your chest that the C's wasted your team's pick on him?? Come on man lol. You take him away because we don't know what he is yet. Unless an unproven rookie is part of a team's pitch to players now?

The Jazz had Hayward, Gobert, Exum, Favors, etc. Why weren't they an attractive FA destination? Is it because the GM wasn't willing to get guys? Or is it because all they could get is the Joe Johnson's or Boris Diaw's of the world? Serious question.

This really isn't hard man. You're bringing up Joe Johnson or Allen Crabbe like it's the same as signing an All Star just hitting his prime. I don't get that... it's really not comparable. JJ's 9 ppg at 36 years old is supposed to be equivalent to Boston getting Hayward or Miami/GS landing MVP's or NY getting Melo/STAT?

The same smart people that tell us how good Niko Mirotic can be for a team? If he's so coveted why is he still on your roster right now? Better yet, if he and his contract are so coveted why are you moving him off your roster? Crowder is a role player at best period.

A very good role player who can defend multiple positions on a great contract. So we agree there. I don't think you will find many Celtics fans who think otherwise.

As for why he's still on the roster. Maybe because he was an important part of our roster and on a good contract?

You're talking like the Celtics are just going to give him up to Utah in a S&T for nothing. Let's see what the return is if a deal happens.

I swear the Celtics got some of you feeling some type of way lately. Sheesh.

No I mean why is he on your roster right now. They need cap space to sign Hayward, why haven't they already traded him. He's coveted. His contract is coveted. Gordon Hayward has been committed to Boston for over 24 hours, surely this highly coveted player should be easy to trade to clear this space to get Hayward without having to give Utah anything. It should be easy to off load him. Crowder has no value to rebuilding teams and because Danny seems to overvalue his worth contending teams who could use a glorified 3 and D guy don't have the assets to trade for him.

Still missing the point. The Jazz were in practically the same place as Boston. They built their team up through the draft. They nailed Hayward and Gobert and had two very good pieces to build on, enough to win 51 games last year. But people are saying they didn't do well enough to retain Hayward, well maybe had they been able to sign a key free agent that would've been enough? That's where the get out of jail free card comes in...
The Celtics are in a better situation than the Jazz, taking Hayward out of the equation. They were arguably a better team this year when the Jazz had him, they added Tatum, and they still have a probable top 5 pick next year plus other future assets. Plus they have his college coach.

They weren't really in similar positions.

Because Ainge is doing is due diligence and finding the best deal for the team.... which may or may not include trading Jae Crowder.

I know some GM's (*cough Chicago * cough Indiana) may not be familiar with that concept.
