Didn't expect Bron to make his decision today, I was actually in the kitchen making snow crab legs Turkey wings and some chicken [emoji847]

I also didn't expect LeBron to make his decision so quickly either. I thought he'd drag it out til 4th of July or thereabouts.

It was moreso just the irony of it coming from you, which is why I said something.

Not saying they would beat GS with Kawhi but we did just see Houston give them the most trouble they’ve had because of guys like Ariza and Tucker. What’s there to believe that KCP, Kawhi, LeBron couldn’t be that? And LeBron/Kawhi aren’t laying that Harden choke egg when CP3 went out either.

Lakers would be a couple pieces away from really threatening them, but we’re crazy to assume they are done making moves right now.

What you said is true, but it would also be true the next season.

Biggest reason Cavs faltered against GS? A poor supporting cast. If Lakers feel like they must acquire Leonard this offseason, they will lose some of those role players that they will need.

They will definitely make other moves, but LeBron's decision eases the pressure and allows some flexibility. Make more moves, but don't feel as if they have to acquire any particular player.

Can I just say though, as a Laker fan that could give a damn about player allegiances, I'm just happy not to have another awful summer(most notably after how the PG thing went). It wipes the slate clean that the "mystique" is gone, the Lakers just needed something to sell and someone would take the leap, granted I never once thought LeBron of all people would make it. I just hope to God that they do the best they can in balancing both worlds for those who suffered through the darkest era of the franchise. Trading away everything would not only make that seem like it wasn't worth it, but you'd be wiping away a chance at this being a short and long term play at competing. If they can wait the Spurs out so they don't have to pay a kings ransom (pun intended) or preferably get Kawhi next year, this could turn out beautifully.

I've never even pretended to be a Cavs fan but I'll let it be clear, let's go Lakers!

Wow, that's something I never thought I'd say...

Exactly. I’ve never had a “team” and have never felt the need to have one. Hypothetically speaking if I was in King’s shoes and hated management and all my players what fun would it be to root for a team that I didn’t like? I’ll never be in that position, unless at some point I move to an NBA city and that team is then “home”. That might change things. I’ve always been a fan of players, coaches that I’ve liked. Which is why I always wanted Bron in San Antonio lol

I grew up a Bulls fan, obviously Jordan, and being from the same state as Pippen, knowing people who knew him, that was a huge deal to me. Once that was over and that team was awful I realized really quick that Chicago is thousands of miles away from me and I had no reason to support a team I couldn’t stand watching. That being said, I’d love to see them be good again some day, with players that I actually like and respect.

Just shut up and embrace me with open arms lol.

Lakers haven’t had a player that I’ve actually “liked” since Nick Van Exel, or washed up Richmond. Respected the hell out of Shaq and Kobe, but always wanted to see that Kings group knock them out.

Landing any of Bron, PG, Kawhi would have made the Lakers a team I was interested in. Obviously that’s only multiplied a lot with it being LeBron. Now if I can just get him and Tatum/Brown and those Celtics back in the finals I’ll be a happy fan.

I got people texting me who don't even watch basketball talking about taking off work to go to a game.

                        This is starting already.

I'm happy for cam, vni, tmagic, and other Lakers dudes and all I hope is if you make another superteam it works this time (not really but you get the idea). Now stay away from Capela.

If I read Spotrac right, they have like 28M in cap space after Lebron signing. Plus Deng is making 18M and they can find some dumb GM to take on that contract.
