No one is going to feel sorry for Cavs fans after the run they've had and all the chances at top picks they had too. Bulls fans, Suns fans, Hawks fans, yeah they'll all get some sympathy and rightfully so.

Re: NBA Draft 2019
This dude talking about the Knicks need a box office draw and he would've been OK if the Lakers got the top pick smh. Ima have to start putting his clips through some kind of voice modulator, I refuse to listen to these words with that accent like he represents us.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Re: NBA Draft 2019
No one is asking for sympathy. The Cavs have a better organization than the Bulls, Suns, and Hawks. This is what the debate is all about. Talking about deserving or whatever BS we want to talk about, is all stupid anyway.Too Old To Game Club

Re: NBA Draft 2019
The Bulls FO/ownership is a well documented mess. I'm not sure what ATL's deal is, never really paid attention. They were always good but never great. The JJ era was good and they did have the best EC record in 2015 but it never translated to anything. Their future looks bright at least, can't say the same about PHX or CHI at the moment.Comment

Re: NBA Draft 2019
Obviously the Kyrie trade was a debacle, but there were extenuating circumstances that they had to trade Kyrie. And truthfully, in the end, Sexton is a pretty good player, so they could scout that one out well.
Other than that, they've been pretty good identifying talent in the draft. Sexton, Cedi in the 2nd round (which was recommended by current GM Altman) and I thought the moves Altman made at the deadline was tremendous this year.Too Old To Game Club

Re: NBA Draft 2019
I can assure u the cavs r not purposefully being bad. Did everyone forget we r from Cleveland which in no way compares to the amount of money as teams in la or ny. The reason we can’t build a team and have to pray for ping pong balls is bc we don’t have the money to sign guys. Then less people want to come here bc nobody else is hereCheck Out My Dynasties:

Re: NBA Draft 2019
I didn't mean to stir up the Cavs hornets nest, just giving my opinion. The Kevin Love trade does count, but again, that was LeBron. If not for LeBron forcing things Cleveland has a core of Kyrie(4), Dion Waiters(4), Andrew Wiggins(1), Tristan(4)/Anthony Bennett(1). That's a playoff team, I guess. Maybe they add a vet or something. The city has a title and that more than I can say for my sorry Hawks. LeBron did sabotage the team by not committing when they could have traded for Paul George. LeBron probably could have fostered a better relationship with Kyrie. Why trade Kyrie though without a commitment from LeBron? I do think Dan Gilbert did all he could this last time and the city has a title now, so it's all good. My point still stands that Cleveland has had more than enough good fortune in the lottery already.

Re: NBA Draft 2019
I'm already so sick of commentators and casual fans talking about they should've rigged the lottery for the Knicks or Lakers or Zion should just refuse to play for NO or go back to Duke man. It's f***ing ridiculous...Comment

Re: NBA Draft 2019
If I am Zion I tell NO I am going back Duke unless the 1st pick is traded to a set amount of teams. Its far from the 1st time that has happened and I'm not going to waist 7 years playing for the worst possible situation for him both on and off the court.Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

Re: NBA Draft 2019
There is way too much money at stake for that. Zion has a huge shoe deal coming that won't work for college. What's so bad about New Orleans? AD grew to his full potential there. I know it isn't a glamour destination, but still. I think it could be good for Zion to go to a place where there won't be massive expectations on him and he can grow. I imagine New Orleans has learned how precious time is for these great players and you have to win to keep them.

Re: NBA Draft 2019
I don't think a Rookie even as good as Zion is gonna convince AD to stay we'll see. the team this hurts the most is probably the Knicks because they really don't have a path to an AD trade now. Because Knox and the 3rd pick isn't going to cut it.
best to keep the hopes on the KD/Kyrie pairing in FA.
I'm just glad the Grizzlies pick for Boston is rolling over to next year. That's huge.
Zion is not going to move the needle for AD. If anything he's going to make returning to NOLA less appealing for AD because he will no longer be the face of the franchise. AD would play second fiddle to a Lebron or Kyrie, but to a rookie? No way.
The Memphis pick no conveying was by far the best news of the night for Boston. If all of the future draft picks that are in play for AD that one to be the most potential.

Re: NBA Draft 2019
AD may have reached his full potential personally in NO, but he made the playoffs what 1 time in 7 years. AD has been irrelevant his entire career playing in a football city that's a new franchise. AD isn't staying and whatever package they get for him isn't going to help them win anything of important for a few years in the West. You know they are going overpay some FA in the next few years because they will be in win now mode.
