Collins is a good defense center. Nenad Krstic has been getting all of A-Train's minutes. Scalabrine is a decent 10th-12th man. They did sign Jabari Smith who's alright, but obviously they do need some front court help. Maybe, if my dreams come true, they push for Malone, but probably not happening. They'll find someone.

Re: Vince Carter To The Nets?
NJ is Toronto though.Unlike the toronto players, if VC doesn't play hard RJ and Kidd are gonna call him out cause lord knows Kidd and RJ leave it all out on the court ever game..Can't say the same for VC.Comment

Thorn has brought in Kidd, Deke, Zo, and now VC. I don't see a problem in finding a decent big man through a trade or two. They still have a draft pick to use.
And lets not forget NJ wanted Rahim. Maybe Carter goes right to Portland for Rahim and whoever else.Comment

Re: Vince Carter To The Nets?
The Nets traded Martin for 3 first round draft picks. We traded Vince for 2 first and 3 guys that can help our team. I don't think there is a GM out there that would take Vince over Martin.
Not a bad trade from that logic.Comment

Re: Vince Carter To The Nets?
Just one thing...
How does this trade clear the 'players need to pass medicals' clearance??
Vince = on injured list.
ZO = we all know ZO realistically won't pass any medical tests 100%.
So, do the teams involved just 'ignore' the injuries?
It's only the teams that have to sign off on medicals, right? Not the NBA itself? The NBA just signs off the actual contracts etc.Comment
