I like this trade for both teams, only if Vince produces. NJ gave up an awful lot to win right now. No draft picks and they are still holding on to Jason Kidd who isn't the same as he's been. It will definitely be interesting to see how this one plays out, but the Raptors definitely have the brighter future between the two teams.

I saw Babcock's session with the media and the protection on the picks isn't too shabby. Also he said he doesn't expect Zo to play with the Raps.

I expect those picks will be used to help land Magloire.

Zo more than likely won't play. But I HOPE he will stick around and mentor the youngsters, like Chris Bosh and other big men.

Magloire would be a good fit for the Raptors, some size that isn't inconsistant.

This is the straight goods on Carter. One knee is shot where he has to constantly ice it after every game, he has a quad problem that limits any explosiveness drastically. He has a recurring heel problem where he himself has admitted has bothered him for the last several years. Anybody who's had achilles problems (myself) knows once you have problems with that it won't get better unless you have surgery or take a long time off to heal. All these ailments has made him tentative where he avoids contact and makes his defence even worse as his mobility is affected. He moves around the court like someone 10 years older. Carter has stated himself that he has numerous aches and pains after 20 games where he is in the trainer's room constantly.

Carter will not regain his old form, his body won't allow it. He won't be near the basket to have any alley oops from Kidd. The Nets got seriously duped here.

Carter has been shopped all summer with no takers for anything substansial. GM's around the league know how broken down Carter is. Even Isiah Thomas wouldn't offer much, what does that tell you? The Nets did not do thier homework on this and now are on the hook for VC's contract where he takes up cap room and will play 50 games a season. The Raps are just happy to get him off the books and have some flexibility for the future which the Nets won't have unless they trade Kidd. They will not make the playoffs this year.

Why do people keep doubting vince. I can guarantee vince will come back to posterizing mode and will shut up all the doubts people are acting like he cant still jump didnt he posterize a shot blocking dalembert before the season started?
