Think this might’ve been the most active this place has been since the Finals when this trade news dropped, lol.

Usually when I log on at work it’ll say there are anywhere from 5-13 people in the pro basketball section, yesterday it was 113 lol.

So like not enough to get a max player maybe but enough to maybe add some good peaces. They would need more than AD and James to really compete and even more so if you give up like all the young guys has than you would have 2 great players but like nothing around them.
Per the guy that everyone here should be following on twitter @jgsiegel

" Let's say LAL trades everything with a 2019 salary except for Moe Wagner and Svi, including their '19 first, for Davis before this year's deadline. I'd have them at $33.78 million in space going into July. "

Dont have twitter but would they really trade ever one that is 2019 lol. That would be a lot of roster spots to fill up.

They only big salaries they have under contract with real $ next year is Ball and Ingram not counting LeBron. Because Wagner, Kuzma and Hart all make around 2 million for next year. So If they are able to make the trade and keep one of Ball/ BI your still looking at 20 + million in cap space or about 30 million if they both get traded.

Here is a link to their cap sheet https://earlybirdrights.com/salary-cap/lal/

I didn't realize that Kuzma's 3-point % was so bad... like Marcus Smart pre-18/19 level bad. I don't watch the Lakers a lot but every time I do it seems like he's hitting shots for them. Has he just been in a slump or what?

I totally agree with that your saying. I recently was shocked too. Because maybe from the games I've seen. He's just been on fire. But defenders aren't sagging off him. So i'm calling this a slump.

But while on the subject of Kuz. I'd rather keep him over BI lol. Wait we've beaten that subject to the ground never mind lol

                    When's this current CBA up?

We can pencil in a lockout now.

I don't watch many Lakers game either but it seems on paper that Kuzma while being a starting caliber player on a great salary cant shoot from 3, doesn't play defense and can't rebound. Maybe I am wrong though or those issues just don't matter.

Get in line. NFL lockout first in 2021, then MLB 2022, then the mutual opt out for NBA in 22-23. Great times ahead for sports fans. [emoji854]

He is a good player but his 3 point shoot is not that good he is very up and down when it comes to 3 point shooting. He will have like 1-2 games where he shoots 3 pointers good and then like 3-4 where he can make like any and I think at times he shoots a few to many. 3 point shoot is something I think he could improve on.

Yeah I don't care what the stats or numbers say. defenders usually have to stick close to him creating space for everyone else. And the best thing about Kuz is he keeps moving. He's not a one trick pony.

He can score but there are some things he could improve on though. Defense, 3 point shooting, rebounding and assist he could improve on. I known that sounds like a lot but he is getting better. Defense I think he can be a good defender he makes some good defense plays but he also commits so really bad fouls, his 3 point shooting % was better last year so maybe he will start shooting 3 better not sure, he is not a bad rebounder just not great and his assist have gone up from 1.8 last year to 2.5. I think he can be a 20+ point guy he is already at 19.1 right now and if he could improve his assist to around 4 that would be good. Than just foul guys a little bit less and maybe up rebounds from around 6 to 7. The thing is to is he wants to be great and knowns he can improve he has a drive to be good/great.

Yeah, I was surprised his numbers because from the "eye test" I was pretty impressed with him. The thing I like about him and Hart too is that they both seem to play under control, especially around the rim.

That's the thing that frustrates me about Tatum and Brown. If I had a quarter for every time one of those guys slaps a layup off of the back board or charge into a defender and lose control of the ball, then I could probably buy a nice lunch. Me yelling "slow down" to those guys is the new "pass" and "don't shoot it" that I used to yell at Smart.
