The league should let the one competent ran NY team get in on the star player demands trade action.

Use “Basketball Reasons” to get AD in BK. [emoji1474]

Updated odds for what team Anthony Davis will be on for the first game of the 2019-2020 NBA regular season (BetOnline):

            Celtics +150
            Raptors +300
            Lakers +300
            Pelicans +500

They have no 1st, and best offer they can do would be something like JV,Siakam and others. A deal I wouldn't make for a rental player.
FWIW, BetOnline is known for putting out crazy odds with low maximum bets in order to get headlines/attention. Anything from them should be taken with a grain of salt.

            EDIT: Here's Bovada:

            Los Angeles Lakers -125
            Boston Celtics +150
            New Orleans Pelicans +600
            New York Knicks +850
            Philadelphia 76ers +850

2.) They trade for AD now and use the extra money to fill out their roster with some decent players/vets but only retain a small portion of their young core.
I would prefer to take a chance on a free agent this offseason. Honestly, wouldn't mind Boogie at all if he shows with GSW that he's fully healthy.

I like our young core & would like to see them develop & be something more going forward. I'm still against the DLo trade & don't like the way Randle was handled. Seems like we just let these young guys go well before their peak & never benefit from it.

                Re: 2018-19 Transaction Thread

I feel like the only thing keeping him from being in LA before the deadline is a 3rd team getting in on the action.. I feel like there are a few teams (like Orlando, Phoenix for example) that would try to get in for Lonzo. But a weeks time isn't a lot to work with.

I think they could, and maybe even should wait it out. But I also kind of feel like the offers might not be that great if Davis is going to let it be known they he will be a rental.. Also if the stuff about him not wanting to be in Boston holds any weight it makes me wonder if the Pelicans would trade him there.. I feel like they will most likely do right by him for handling it professionally, and I don't think they would be complaining about tampering if they weren't strongly considering a trade to the Lakers. After a couple days go by and the shock is gone I see them sitting down with Davis to see what he wants and it'll play a factor IMO.

Also, I don't know that the Boston trade package looks appealing to them. Obviously if there is even a slight chance of it being a rental they aren't trading Tatum.. Rozier will be off the table, Morris off the table, they aren't taking Hayward after the way he has played, Brown's trade value is way down.. The picks are enticing but they are also unknown.. Even if it winds up being 2 or 3 top 5 picks whats to say those picks aren't players like Mario Henzonja, Josh Jackson, Dragan Bender. Meaning they get 3 great picks but they are the worst team in the league for 5-10 years after.. It's just a bigger risk than players you know can play and compete.

Genuinely shocked it took this long after the LeBron video was posted for someone to report this.

I can guarantee that you won't have to worry about that.

Siakam has had a nice season but NOLA needs someone who's going to get some butts in some seats and Siakam ain't it.

Of course Kyrie wants back with Lebron.

                        This league man, lol.

LeBron and company know that they're best bet is to get AD before the deadline because if it goes into the offseason other teams can easily beat their offer.

Of course, the sports media eats that up because a) they love LeBron and him getting Batman would be good for them and b) they like dem clicks.

Kyrie didn't force himself away from LeBron so he can be "the man" only to go running back. Maybe he'll go to NY or Brooklyn but I just can't see him running backing to LeBron.

This is probably bull****. What are the odds this report comes out if Kyrie never comes out and says he called LeBron?

Agreed, but it also matches a lot of reports coming from Cleveland, as well as teammates, that said it had much less to do with him not wanting to play with LeBron than it did wanting out of that organization.
