Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
For sure, he certainly is, but where he's at when he recovers is going to determine BK's ceiling. In an era of superteams, a not-the-same KD as your #1, Kyrie as your #2, and no real #3...not sure it's a championship team."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
The issue for me on an Achilles injury isn’t the actual recovery itself, it’s the mental side of worrying about it happening again. KD likes to bounce into pull-up jumpers and that bears a load on the calf and Achilles.
But I think he will eliminate any concerns pretty quick. He’s gonna be great. And I’m glad he’s no longer a Warrior.Comment

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
BK was clearly much further along than the Knicks during their rebuild. BK has solid role players at age 25-28 in guys like Dinwiddie and LeVert and Joe Harris; those important supporting pieces if you want to make a deep playoff run.
The Knicks don't have anything like that. Our entire core (Robinson, Knox, Barrett, Ntilikina, DSJ) is 21 or younger. The guys are still so young and have a ton of development to do. Even if KD/Kyrie went there, you'd have to trade all of those pieces for vet role players if you wanted to contend. Hell, that Knicks team next year with Kyrie but without KD while he recovered wouldn't have had a prayer at the playoffs.
The Nets were playoff team last season and retained most pieces; we had the worst record in the league. Let's not overthink this."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
Damn no one answered lol... I guess not. Nets won one game in the first round of the playoffs. KD was joining the 73-9 Regular season Warriors. Who lost game 7 of the finals by 4 points.

Agreed, this is much more of a timing/situational thing than a statement on organizational quality.

Y’all at least had a potential franchise cornerstone to build around when Marks arrived, while we didn’t have ANYTHING. No picks, no cap space, nothing.
Now if you want to say that our #Progress accelerated over the last 2 years due to the development of guys like Harris, Dinwiddie, LeVert, then I agree. But from the time Marks got there, that was a 5-6 year rebuild project he took over.#RespectTheCultureComment
