Considering they were on AD's list and Kawhi met with them it doesn't seem crazy to consider the positives for why they would be attractive to free agents.

It's not a hard concept to grasp, but the gymnastics you guys have done to make the thought entirely comical and impossible is commendable.

This coming from a Lakers fan who’s seen 5 championships and is on the verge of waltzing to at least 6 in that same time frame. I’m 35 years old man, I hadn’t even started high school the last time the Bulls won a championship. I couldn’t even legally get drunk and enjoy all the celebrations that come with a title.

I “act” like we’re the Knicks because if the Knicks weren’t the Knicks for the last 2 decades we WOULD be the Knicks. All the storied, successful franchises in the NBA have won seen Jordan. The Lakers? 5 of ‘em, Spurs? 5 of ‘em. Celtics? They got them one. Knicks could have had one and had they not been so bad they could have been on that list and it’s still leave the Bulls sitting there a dumpster fire. We’ve had one man in charge of this franchise for 15 years. 15 years. Gordon/Deng? Yeah the Baby Bulls were fun but how’d that work out?

Rose was fun and was hope and it was dashed in a blink of an eye and nothing but complete dysfunction since. There was honestly complete dysfunction before that but it was masked by the winning. It’s easy for you to say I’ve had it good with my team when your franchise has 16 titles and superstars willing to come there no matter how ****ed up the front office is, but there is nothing fun about the NBA treadmill of constantly overpaying role players knowing the superstar teams of the league are going to curb stomp you in the playoffs even if you make it for a decade plus. Yes I should be the happiest guy on the earth that one regime of general manager/president of my favorite basketball team has one eastern conference finals appearance that they were essentially swept out of in 15 years of employment. Y’all have won 5 championships since Jordan retired and y’all are losing your **** over depth behind potentially LeBron ****ing James, Anthony Davis and Kawhi Leonard and my team doesn’t even have the common sense to trade Robin Lopez to a contender during a *** **** tanking season for at least a bag of chips knowing damn well they weren’t gonna resign him this offseason. But yeah, I should be painting rainbows and farting sunshine over yet another really good try hard roster. They’re too stupid to even wait for the trade deadline to try moving Kris Dunn so he can play his non existent value up or be a trade chip when the next superstar player inevitably wants out of his current situation.

King...love you brotha. But you have the habit of breaking out the hyperbole in your posts.

Nowhere did I say you should be as happy as a button or that you should be content or make any mention of the Lakers in comparison. Not one post I've made has been made complaining about the state of the Lakers. So don't know what the point of bringing that up is

My overarching point was your lumping the Bulls franchise with the other franchises that have been stuck in the NBA doldrums for YEARS is just goofy. The Bulls have had more success the last 15 years than half the league. But for some reason, you keep insisting on throwing them in with the Knicks, Clippers and Kings of the world.

If it wasn't for the unfortunate luck of having to deal with LeBron, Wade and the Super Celtics we'd be talking about even more success that most teams could only hope for in the same time frame.

And to top it off, you guys have been mentioned in free agency talks when the money has been there. I can't say how often that has been. But I do know before the Heatles were formed, that same off-season they were in the running to sign Lebron and Bosh...and they were attractive enough to get Wade after they broke up. So Chicago isn't the unattractive wasteland you make them out to be either.

t looks like the*Milwaukee Bucks*will head into next season with two Antetokounmpo brothers.

According to a*report from Gaszetta.gr*in Greece, Milwaukee plans to sign Giannis’ brother, Thanasis, to a two-year fully guaranteed contract worth $3 million.
Two years older than Giannis, Thanasis was a second-round pick of the New York Knicks in 2014. He played two games for the Knicks in 2015-16, averaging three points.

Thanasis has spent time in the G League and has been playing overseas. Last season saw Thanasis Antetokounmpo play for Panathinaikos B.C. in Greece. He averaged 4.2 points and 1.8 rebounds.

That's what makes it so bad.

I've accounted for their fails, and specifically when Doc was the GM for awhile. The GM before him is in Portland now.

Like I said these LeBron only fans acting like they're connected to LA is a bigger joke than Cleveland.

They don't even care about the Lakers, and didn't about the Clippers until they felt their boy is threatened by them.

You're still coming at me from an outsiders perspective not knowing anything about what is going on here in Chicago. There is nothing hyperbolic about the state of the Bulls franchise. I lump them in with the Clippers, Kings and other franchises of the world because that's exactly how they're treated and run and they've been in the doldrums of the NBA. The very fact that they come from the success of that Jordan dynasty set the tone for this franchise that is simply not being met. I don't view making the playoffs and getting bounced in the first round every year as success. My job as a fan isn't to cheer on the lining of Jerry Reinsdorf's already deep pockets.

If you didn't already know which team was the answer and we didn't put a name on the franchises we told you that one of three franchises the Clippers, Bulls and Kings had left the same GM/President in charge of the team for 17 years, hired and fired 8 head coaches in that span, been left in charge of 3 rebuilds, had the GM choke out his head coach over the amount of minutes a player played, traded LeMarcus Aldridge for Tyrus Thomas, almost killed one of their players with a misdiagnosis of common flu, hired the second best coach in franchise history and then proceeded to drag their feet on signing him to a contract extension after winning coach of the year and leading the team to the conference finals for the first time in over a decade, only to go behind his back and fire his top assistant before butting heads with him and eventually firing him, lowballing the second best player in the franchise's post championship era over a difference of 4 million dollars in salary and instead of getting him for 4 years at $48 million they ended up having to give him a 5 year/$96 million deal? You seriously telling me you'd pick the Bulls out of that lineup and not think that was obviously the Kings or the Clippers? I could keep going but I don't have the patience to keep posting the completely incompetent moves by this team. That's not even touching the single saving grace of these 17 years, the Derrick Rose years this team didn't do anything to get that success. They were handed that pick and it was a no brainer pick. That's like giving the Cavs credit for drafting LeBron when they had the number 1 pick.

This team has been a joke and has never been seriously considered by any major free agent in their decisions despite what Dwyane Wade lied about 2010. I want to see my team win championships, not barely make the playoffs knowing they can't beat any of the top teams in the conference. That's not success just making the playoffs to be fodder for the actual championship contenders. The Bulls punted on free agency this year and tried to sell to us fans that they made their "big splash" trading for Otto Porter. They've been rebuilding but haven't acquired a single additional first round pick in the entire rebuilding process. They've been rebuilding but trading away draft picks for cash considerations for an owner who has publicly stated that he'd trade all 6 NBA championships he has for one more World Series from that garbage baseball team he's got. Jerry routinely takes resources away from the basketball team for the White Sox. GarPax don't like when the local media questions their moves, so they cut off access to the team and refuse to go on radio and television shows here in the city unless it's their hand picked media shills who won't ask them any hard questions and only kiss their asses and praise them all the time. But yeah, nothing Kings or Clippers or Knicks like about the way this team is run.

And for the record the only thing attractive about the Bulls that made D-Wade come here is GarPax were the only ones dumb enough to give him $47 million dollars at a time where he was chasing the money he'd given up to form the big 3 and he's from here.

This take is hilarious. Take LeBron off in a few years and Kawhi/AD would be the best duo in the league and they'll have plenty of money to fill out the roster once LeBron comes off the books. They would be in "win-now mode" as long as those 2 are on the team.

They have no quality (young) assets and those two are injury prone. Also, in two years Quitter will be in his 30's and heading out of his prime. Yes, they could remain elite or competitive but they could also continue to suffer "minor" injuries that pile up.

Especially, with Quitter having a degenerative issue with his quad.

The thought that 28 year old Kawhi, 26 year old Davis, 23 year old Kuzma, can only compete for 2-3 years and somehow has less upside than Shamet, Harrell, SGA [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]..

I understand people don’t want him to go to the Lakers, but y’all can’t be serious with some of this stuff.

Kuzma is nothing special, Davis has done nothing of serious note in the league and Quitter needs to be "load managed." Are Davis and James elite, yes (duh), but LeBron is declining (physically) and Davis/Leonard miss 10 - 20 games annually.

It could easily blow up in their face just like '04 and '12....

I could have sworn some of you guys were talking positively about the Clippers during the season as a good spot to land for star FAs. All this laughing at them and the Knicks is comical at best especially with what the Nets managed to pull off.

But that's ok. Let's continue to beat down quality franchises for no reason.

Naw, the Lakers with James, Davis and a bunch of scrub *** veterans are a lot better.
