    For

    PG

That was the rumored STARTING point for him.

No way Raptors would or should've done that. If winning a title wasn't enough to keep Kawhi, no point gutting your team for the next decade or more to make 1 maybe 2 more runs.
You're a better man than me. I'd do that deal in a hearbeat if you're telling me I get Kawhi and Paul George.

Raptors must really be banking on Siakam becoming a superstar to turn that down. He’s on an upward trajectory but he’s also 25, he’s not that much younger than Kawhi and PG.

As a starting point though, meaning it would've been way worse, and it would probably just have been the 2+1 deal in that event.

So you give up 4 unprotected 1sts, at least 1 is coming in a rebuilding period, along with Siakam who is a young breakout star, for 2 seasons of PG?

It's not just Siakam, it's the 4 unprotected firsts which I think is issue. Siakam,FVV and even 2 picks I think they'd be ok, but 4 of them basically means even after those guys leave, you're not able to move a pick for several years.

And if Kawhi wanted to go to LA so badly, who knows if his deal would've been 2+1, he doesn't care about supermax so maybe he would've just done 1+1 and if things dont end up perfectly, he'd leave after that year.

It's more than giving up Siakam, it's a big part of your future for at best 2 years.

              Saw this on Rotoworld

Carroll originally agreed to a two-year, $13 million deal with the Spurs, but he and his agent worked to get an extra year from the Spurs in order to help facilitate a sign-and-trade with the Nets. He’ll provide coach Gregg Popovich with toughness and shooting off the bench. Davis Bertans is heading to the Wizards as part of the three-team deal.
But I haven’t found anything regarding what the Nets would be getting back in return.

His reworked deal gave him more money.

Any more details on this three team deal? Curious to see what the Wizards are putting up.

                    How's Bertans?

Solid. Can shoot, not scared to take a shot if you pass to him under pressure

Not an all star but solid role player

There are never defensive highlights. Calling a player washed up after only half a season of play. Man that's garbage [emoji58]. If your going to graded him on his first playoffs. And playing after a month off from a quad injury. No one expected him to come back from.

People just trying to downplay the signing for whatever reason. Calling a guy that only played 30 games "washed" when he averaged 16/8/3.6 in 26 MPG is hilarious.

His Per 36 numbers last year aren't far off from his pre-achilles injury

                                17-18 per 36: 25/12.8/5.3/1.6/1.6
                                18-19 per 36: 22.8/11.5/5/1.9/2.1

He was really hitting his stride in April. Cousins was never a defensive juggernaut anyway and no one is expecting that from him. He can still put the ball in the bucket, still get boards, and still make plays from the C position. He's gonna be much more valuable than people giving him credit for. And this offseason he gets to spend getting in shape rather than rehabbing. Don't sleep on him.
