I don't know. I would feel better if PG signed a 2 year deal with the second year bring an player option. I just find it crazy one year later he changed his mind.

    EDIT: It should be noted that the Clippers traded Blake Griffin on the first year of his max to get this whole ball rolling, lol

      Most people sided with Kawhi over the whole injury thing and SA was painted out as the villains who mishandled his injury. SA godfathered load management though, which extended Tim Duncan's career so it's silly to think they would mishandle Kawhi. Kawhi NEVER talks though so he was perceived as this introvert who was mistreated and most of us ate it up.

      Now that the stories have come out (if they are true) about how Kawhi conducts business, it makes you rethink the whole SA debacle. Maybe SA weren't the bad guys after all. But we didn't know Kawhi was like this until today. Him never talking has worked to his advantage. From the reports about how he leveraged everything and made all these power moves, Kawhi and his camp appear to be extremely calculated, perhaps unlike we've ever seen before.

        This is basically what I'm saying why that "keep that same energy" is hypocritical nonsense. LeBron and Kawhi did the same damn thing, they just did it in different ways.

        So if we were to be fair and "keep that same energy", I should be calling out LeBron for colluding while those who bash me for NOT calling LeBron out should also in turn be calling out Kawhi right now. But that's not the world we live in, is it?

          This has to be the most talented team Bron has played on right?

            Don't think this was posted-

            Free agent Stanley Johnson has agreed to a two-year, $7.5M deal with the Toronto Raptors, with a player option in the second season, agent Nima Namakian of BDA Sports tells

            @TheAthleticNBA

            @Stadium

                LeBron took off multiple games last season for load management.

                  And I still believe Kawhi quit on Spurs. But time passes and it is like whatever. I mean, there is people talking here about Vince Carter and "his legacy" and how good of a "vet" he is when the dude dog quit on the Raptors. It is what is, people get tired and eventually it is like whatever.

                  I think this likely happens all the time. These dudes can just shoot a text. This instance just got brought to the public.

                    I do wonder why we're having this conversation about players wanting out of teams and "forcing" trades when said teams have also shown plenty of times they've had "buyer's remorse" and immediately traded players in the same year they've signed a contract. Max or not.

                    It never ceases to amaze how people are so willing to side with billioniares doing "good business" but **** on players for finessing that same system and doing "good business".

                    This has never been about the team. If it was about the team they'd have just told Paul George to suck it up and play with Westbrook. Instead they were like "Yo we don't have to pay you this much money anymore? And we get future younger players on a bargain bin salary? And we can stop paying the luxury tax because my pockets are hurting? Bet."

                      I’m fine with both sides.. teams will do whatever it takes to better their situation, players will do the same, sometimes those line up together sometimes the other gets screwed over [emoji2371]

                        Remember all of this starts with LeBron fans playing victim

                        Started with calling Woj a paid Stooge for Clippers owner Steve Ballmer

                        Now Kawhi tried to sabotage the Lakers because they believed trash rumors from fake Reddit insiders that he was close to signing with the Lakers when that was probably never the case.

                        We also still don't know what happened in OKC. Far as we know PG was gonna ask out anyway but the opportunity to do it now and play home with another star made him do it sooner.

                        Unless they're faking, RWB seems to understand Paul George's request

                          I didn't bash LeBron in Miami or Cleveland

                          I didnt bash KD on the Warriors

                          Im not calling Boogie a snake or calling the Lakers half of Team USA right now

                          The hypocrites only want the rules to apply to anyone but LeBron, so you really should be talking to them

                                I guess that's my problem. Why sign for 4 year's? Why not sign a 2 year deal? With the second year being an option like KD did.

                                And I'm not looking the other on the AD situation that happen. I'm also not saying Kawhi shouldn't talk to players. But man don't sign a long term deal. If I were the Thunder I'd sit on him.
