    Re: 2019 Offseason Thread

Its been said by a couple people but ill leave that where it is and see what happens in free agency

Plenty of things have been said and the opposite done as well

How much involvement does Kurt Rambis and Phil Jackson have is pretty odd on top of it

Then there's the old.. Vogel put his house up for sale this morning out there.

BTW, this trash protest is supposedly happening at noon here with media members going as well.

    Embarrassing.

Jazz are reworking their front office.

Woj: "ESPN Sources: The Utah Jazz are elevating general manager Dennis Lindsey to Executive VP of Basketball Operations and making Justin Zanik the franchise’s new GM. Zanik has been Utah's assistant GM for five years."

Zanik has had a ton of interest from teams in regards to open GM spots, nice to hang onto him.

ehhh I'll believe Kawhi to the Lakers when it happens.. But from a winning perspective it's easily a better destination than the Clippers. Lakers might be an absolute **** show, but this team healthy with LeBron is a substantially better playoff team than hoping Lou Williams gets hot off the bench. I'm not sure the Clippers + Kawhi would even be better than his situation right now.

Clippers are better from almost all perspectives from the top down

Top down, sure.. As far as winning? hell no. Lakers were better on the floor when healthy and having LeBron James in the playoffs is substantially better than the Clippers. Whether they keep all the young assets or trade them a group of Kawhi+LeBron+new player or young players is much better than Kawhi, Williams, Gallo.

Hell he could go to the Clippers and the Lakers would be better than them next year as well.. Would be a joke to assume otherwise.

Don't know a lot about him overall, but I thought he did a good job with Memphis given what he had.

No offense, but yall stupid if you think playing with Lou Williams gets you farther in the playoffs than playing with LeBron James.

How would it be a joke?

Are you assuming that older Lebron will go back to looking like his younger self because “he’s had more time to rest for the first time in career?”

Are you also assuming that they wouldn’t add anybody else to their roster outside of Kawhi?

Why would Kawhi or anyone want to join this dysfunctional mess though? I don't see it.

                            Is this question a joke?

He was at worst a top 5 player this season. Team was a 3-5 seed when healthy, he was averaging what like 28/8/8 or something nobody else even hit 25/7/7 this season. Still up around 60% TS% on a team that didn't have a ton else to offer, at least consistently.

He doesn't need to go backwards, just not get substantially worse. The impact he had on the Lakers in terms of team performance was larger than the impact Kawhi had on the Raptors performance..AND that's with them losing Lopez and Randle in the process.

If you think having a star level player in the playoffs isn't the largest driving factor you haven't watched basketball for the past 30 years.
