Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
But like stated, Kyrie to Raptors really won't be possible. And there's no way we're gonna see some kind of S&T with Lowry+ going to Boston in exchange for Kyrie.
Raptors won't be big on FA in 2019. If Kawhi leaves, it's rebuild mode (possibly a quick one if they could turn Lowry/Ibaka/Gasol into 1st rounders by deadline)
However, if they keep Kawhi, the 2020 offseason would be most interesting one for them. Lowry/Gasol/Ibaka gone. You have Siakam + Kawhi to build around, maybe even enough money to add another max player.Comment

Does the warriors losing to the rockets hurt or help the chances of KD and Klay leaving ?Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

Yeah, really we are just arguing over nothing. Both organizations are an absolute mess and it starts from the owner and permeates the entire organization.Too Old To Game Club

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
Pretty much what TMagic said, the Knicks are still the Knicks but the Lakers are giving them a run for their money. Maybe we're all over-optimistic because it actually seems plausible their fortunes could turn good this summer. The Lakers however are a hotter mess than they've ever been and it's unlikely at this point they can salvage this disaster in one offseason.Comment

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
Probably helps. Not so much because "Warriors were eliminated in 2nd round", but because "Warriors didn't win the title". Much harder decision to go to another team when you're on a team literally winning title after title after title.Comment

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
I'm not sold quite yet on any big free agents choosing to go play for the Clippers for the first time since... well ever
No doubt it's a great landing spot, but nobody has ever flocked to LA to join the Clippers before.. Not sure that changes.Comment

Otherwise, what’s the difference over the last 5-6 years?
That’s T-Magic who thinks they’re not much different than the Knicks.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
Sorta, but players have went there, listed it among trade destinations, listed it as a desired place to live, and tons of players at least say something along the lines of playing in New York would be fun and they would like to play there some day.. Clippers have never had any sort of vocal interest from anybody. Might change this year, it should be an attractive spot basketball wise, I'm just not sold that a top name guy will pick them over NY, LAL, BK, etc.Comment

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
I give the Clippers a strong chance to make a splash this offseason.
What happened in past years means nothing to me.
Star players these days seem more about culture and comfort than ever before.
I can see what Doc Rivers, Jerry West, and Steve Ballmer have built there being very appealing to premier free agents.Comment
