But how about Hayward?.... You didn't spend all that money to rebuild just like that. I think Boston is going to come out better at the end of the day. I think Paul Pierce and Antoine Walker days. Ok Kidding about that last part.

Still think the Cavs should never trade Kyrie. And I stand by that lol

Yea as much as I am rooting for Boston to fail they can easily still be a title contenders even with losing Irving and Al for free. They can let Rozier walk and not overpay him and sign someone like Russell or Rubio. They are plenty of bigs on the market like Capella and Adams.

I don't know. How exactly would it differ from a traditional sign-and-trade contract outside of the timing of it?

D'Angelo Russell would be a huge mistake. I really hope that option is nowhere on the Celtics radar.

Agree.... But weirdly I like Rubio for this team. He's defensive minded. Which is exactly what this team needs (if they lose Al). And he's a pass first PG. That would go really well with this team of swing men.

Any validity to the reports that Kyrie may not want to go to BK by himself? Or is that a NYK media plant?

Not talking full blown tear it down rebuild but a soft rebuild with the focus being on Brown and Tatum developing while you see if they can elevate to the level necessary to be centerpieces of a title contender. I think Hayward will bounce back, first full year off that injury I think with a full offseason to workout again he’ll be back to form.

I've seen the opposite too (that BK doesn't want him if they can't sign KD) so who the hell knows what's going on.

Kyrie gives a bad vibe, if I were BK I would pass on Kyrie if he coming alone. If I'm the Knicks I pass on Kyrie if Durant isn't coming.

Can Ramona Shelburne no longer be trusted now that she too reports the Lakers did not know the cap works before trading for AD?

Is the reddit insider the only one to be trusted?

His pass first mentality would be a breath of fresh air after watching Kyrie and Terry dribble the air out the ball last season. Would have to be a short term deal for 1 or 2 years.

Looks like Rubio's made it official that he'll be on a new squad next year

Celtics or Pacers would be perfect for him

I rarher have Rubio for the Celtics rather than DLo. If you want to truly build around Tatum and Brown, than I rather have a willing playmaker opposed to a PG who is looking for his shot first. You want to see if Tatum can be a star in the league and if Brown can become a legit #2 option. That wouldn't happen when you have a lineup full of young players looking to make a name for himself.
I would let Rozier walk, sign Rubio and acquire a defensive minded Center, and fill out bench. I think they can still be a competitive playoff team. They just need to have an identity and play like a team instead of guys wanting to make name for himself

Boston is going to have to fill out their roster in FA bc trade talks for a big name C will fall apart when Ainge refuses to add Semi Ojeleye to the trade.
