Damn Lillard had himself a game but they aren't going to get anywhere with Moe and Aminu combining for a sizzling 4 points when Denver has so many weapons. Jokic looked damn good and hasn't disappointed in his play. This is going to be good.

I actually think in his case the extra weight helps him. From what I’ve seen from Denver this year one of the biggest advantages they have that make them so successful is they get all the benefits of going small with their bigs passing abilities, but their size allows them to punish any team that goes small against them. Jokic really hurts teams if they don’t keep a big on the floor, and I’m not sure that if he lost a lot of that weight he could maintain that.

I look at Kevin Love for example, he slimmed way down and while it helped in some areas he’s now at the point that he can’t even establish and hold post position anymore unless he has a big mismatch. He’s far from the post player he was before losing the weight and it takes instances like Toronto sticking someone like CJ Miles on him (those idiots) for him to even show flashes of what it used to be.

On the reverse of that, I look at someone like ZBo who kept the weight, and while he was never as quick or as athletic as he could have been otherwise, he was hard to move on the block. He could get to his spots and hold them against anyone in the league, and his size kept guys like Blake from ever being able to punk him come playoff time..

I think those same principals could be applied to Jokic here, as like those guys he’s not long enough or athletic enough to lose his ability to hold his position inside and still be as effective as his is now.

I know his weight is somewhat of an advantage, but he could still stand to lose the gut.

A stronger core is never a bad thing.

Yeah I’m sure there is a happy medium between keeping some weight to throw around and not leaning out without getting too small.

Scott Foster, the referee most reviled by the Houston Rockets, has been assigned to call Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Golden State Warriors Tuesday.

Foster, a 25-year NBA veteran, has not worked a Rockets game since James Harden publicly criticized him after the superstar fouled out of Houston's Feb. 21 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. Harden, who was fined $25,000 by the NBA the next day, declared then that Foster should not be assigned any more Rockets games because of his personal issues with them.

Reading the playoff policy, it doesn't say exactly when they're picked for each game, only that the 36 eligible were announced on Apr 12, and that after each round they get evaluated to "determine future advancement in the 2019 postseason" so it couldn't be earlier than the beginning of a round, cause that guy could get the boot.

Probably in between rounds, but it could be between games.
