I thought Marks should have been in the running for GM of the year the past couple of seasons now.. on top of that he landed Kyrie, KD, Jordan coming into this year.. might miss out on the award yet again with the KD injury though. Regardless, he’s doing a hell of a job.

So you think it’s a good value deal?

Yes, because we aren’t operating in a vacuum here. The team was unlikely to have cap space to work with in the near-term future. Locking up your promising soon-to-be-23-year-old wing before he hits a paper thin free agent class became critical. Could very well save them money in the long term.

Not every NBA player is lean and the NBA isn't a bodybuilding competition. There are plenty of perennial all-stars who don't have uber-low body fat percentages. Zion's body is fine.

How many have come into the league at 280+ lbs though? Combine that with his explosiveness and that means his knees are gonna have a bad time unless he slims down

Why have a strong opinion one way or the other, for either the team or player? A team decides to allocate the money, and a rich professional athlete gets richer. Celebrating or criticizing it is equally silly and pointless.

I don't that anyone here cares about the money in an objective sense in terms of players getting X amount of dollars. It's contextual based upon a player's perceived production as it relates to the Salary Cap and the ability of team to add other pieces to their roster or even affecting the ability to potentially trade that player at a later date.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

His body isn’t fine for somebody who constantly runs at 100mph and dunks at every opportunity he gets. He’s literally Russell Westbrook but with an extra 100 pounds added in. That’s not good.

I’m not suggesting every NBA player should be some Adonis. James Harden hasn’t been in great shape for the majority of his career but he plays with a lot more control, conserves a lot of his energy for one side of the game and doesn’t over exert himself.

I think if Zion can slim down to the 250-260 range we’re already looking at a better outlook for him. Your knees take a hellish amount of force from any kind of movement, whether it’s walking, running or jumping and landing. The heavier you are, the more stress it puts on your body.

I just really want him to succeed because I like him both as a player and how he seems to be as a person but talent isn’t going to cover for issues with your physique.

Shaq is a 7-footer. Same with Boban. Their weight is more dispersed.

Yeah i know but a guy that big who you could even closely or remotely compare that size/weight and athleticism too is Shaq.

This is my point. Do you think he has 35 lbs of fat he can lose? What's he supposed to lose? There isn't that much fat.

No but he can get the body fat percentage down and he can afford to lose some muscle too. His build is wide and concentrated in the upper body anyway so he’s always going to be strong. He doesn’t need to be as muscular as he is.

It’s wild how I’m looking forward more to the Nets game on Sunday than I am the Packers’ game.

Really about to see Westbrook in a Wizards Uni and Kyrie and KD together in a Nets Unj.

I’ve suffered long enough, Basketball Gods.
