    Heck Yeah Jaylen is very cool. Similar situation to smart I'd rather have them on my team. Jaylen will need to make a leap for it to be a positive for BOS. But i think that can happen. I'm still in on Jaylen 1000%. It's an overpay but it's an overpay you can live with as well.

      The infatuation that fans have NBA players’ bodies has always been....interesting to me, to say the least, lol.

        Buddy’s deal is way better. I don’t understand what the problem was with him asking for a lot of money. That’s what every single one of us in his position would do.

        Bad teams have to overpay. Period. We’ve had this discussion so many times.

          @ByJayKing

          Jaylen Brown’s four-year contract extension has $103 million in guaranteed money, per source. Another $4 million in likely incentives, plus $8 million in unlikely incentives.
          I think that it's fair considering that I believe that some team would have offered him the max since there's such a weak FA group next offseason.

          Also, Jaylen is about to turn 23 in three days so if he does make a leap then that contract has the potential to be a good one. This also means that Boston has their core locked up and no contract worries heading into the season. Which means more good vibes going into the season that already has plenty of good vibes. I can't wait to see how it all translates on the court.

                    True, but he took 3 a game his rookie year so he has that range. Being selective about it is smart on his part.

                      Between China and Zion..this is a nightmare start for Adam Silver no matter how you want to slice it.

                        I wasn't really knocking Buddy's contract, more the scenario. He asks for more, doesn't really get it but gets a halfway incentive-type deal, meanwhile Jaylen Brown who's proven jack of nothing gets more guaranteed money than him a day later (and I know he's about 3 years younger but that doesn't really make a difference IMO when we're talking about guys in their 20s).

                                Absolutely love, love this extension for Jaylen and the Celtics.

                                Those criticizing the deal are probably the same ones all up in arms whenever a QB gets a new deal in the NFL.
