      Don’t need more offense though.

Kennard be more of a luxury than a need.

I definitely think there's more moves coming for Sixers. I'm not sure if Shake will start again. It all depends on if Doc wants Ben at PG or PF. If it's PF, then it almost has to be Shake at PG like in bubble. But if it is PG, then it could be Ben-Curry-Green-Tobias-Embiid. The main reason I would start Curry is for his shooting. You would need Green to still be a quality defender, so that he and Ben can hide Curry on defense. I like Shake, Maxey, Matisse, Scott, Pelle as primary 2nd team. It's either Shake or Curry starting. I rather Shake be the primary 6th man and play a Lou Williams type of role. We need him and Maxey to be good bench scorers. Unless Pelle is ready, we might need a backup 5. I can see Joel only getting 30-32 minutes in regular season. With a condensed season with a lot of back to backs, I see us going 10-12 men a night.

If Tobias can go back to the Clippers version where he is a 18+ ppg and a near 50-40-90 guy, then he'll be worth that max. And/Or be a 4th quarter clutch scorer. But, I still rather trade him so we can get more cap flexibility for future. I would be willing to package him with Zhaire Smith and a future 1st, to get rid of him.

"Milwaukee is waiving forward Ersan Ilyasova, sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.

Lakers center JaVale McGee will exercise his $4.2M player option for 2020-21 season, sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium."

Also Garrett Temple and Austin Rivers will be a FAs

I know the obvious rumors of Rivers to Philly will come up. But, I wouldn't mind Ilyasova coming back to Philly.

Detroit is trading Khyri Thomas and Tony Snell to Atlanta for Dewayne Dedmon, sources tell ESPN.

Dedmon is good insurance in case they lose Wood in free agency. I'm surprised Detroit dumped Snell with the need for shooting & his ability to play the 2/3.

If anyone cares this is where the hawks stand going into FA

                  Starting Unit
                  PG - Trae Young -
SG - Kevin Huerter - 38% career 3 point shooter and is finally fully healthy
SF - Deandre Hunter - He is never going to live up to the trade up
PF - John Collins - The best player on the team 20 & 10 on 40% from 3 with improved D.
C - Clint Capella - Last year we played Alex Len and Damian Jones at C.

                  2nd Unit
                  PG -
                  SG -
SF - Cam Reddish - He was amazing at the end of the year
                  PF -
C - Onyeka Okongwu - The trade of Dedmon clears the way for the backup spot on day 1

                  Reserves
PG - Brandon Goodwin - Just had his contract guaranteed and deserves to be on the roster
                  C - Bruno Fernando - Didn't impress as a rookie
SG - Skylar Mays - Just drafted he should make the roster
G Khri Thomas - He may not stick around
G/F - Tony Snell - Should stick around I think he can still shoot

                  Cap Space
                  43.6 million

FA linked / rumored to be interested
PG - Rajon Rondo - Not a single fan wants this to happen
PG - Kris Dunn - A great fit with his defense
PG - FVV - This doesn't seem likely and its not been mentioned so would be costly
PG - De'anthony Melton - Not sure what it would take to get him away from Memphis

Others - Jevon Carter, DJ Augstine, Emmanuel Mudiay, Reggie Jackson, Elfrid Payton, Shabazz Napier etc.

SG - Joe Harris - Doesn't seem likely seems obviously he is a top target
SG Kentavious Caldwell-Pope - Local guy i doubt he leaves LA
SG Bogdan Bogdanovic - Who knows what's going on with him here I think he is a target

F - Demar DeRozan - Seems less likely now
F - Gordon Hayward - Lets see what happens with the player option
F - Danilo Gallinari - His offense is needed, but bad fit on defense
F- Davis Bertans - His shooting would be huge, but also a bad fit on defense
F - Jerami Grant - I don't think he leaves Denver unless its for 20 per year
F - Derrick Jones Jr. - A great fit as a role player and shouldn't cost a ton
F - Paul Milsap - A return to Atlanta on a 1 year deal a little more likely without Dedmon

C - Meyers Leonard - Would provide shooting insurance now that Dedmon is gone

I think this likely means the Lakers were hitting dead ends on all trades they were exploring as it was reported McGee, Bradley, etc were all expected to opt out as they didn't want to be trade chips. I'm assuming if he's opting in they plan on keeping him.

Lakers also waived Cook, who wasn't what they needed anyways, so unless they are going to do a sign and trade with KCP or Kuz it seems like they are trying to retain as much of the roster as possible while still keeping the full MLE.

Well, at least that shifts the expectations away from Warriors competing for a ring. Gonna be a strange year.

Sounds like Dedmon could be on the move again. I hope he lands somewhere he can play and contribute. He is a 1st class guy that can defend, rebound and adds leadership.

Atlanta will cut Khyri Thomas so that saves a additional 1 million on top of a little bit of savings getting Snell.

FWIW, Ian Begley is basically saying this is old news and the Knicks have less interest now that the draft has passed.

Has Hayward been able to return to form? I haven't watched many of his games since his opening day injury in 2017.
