Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma has agreed to a three-year, $40M contract extension, including a player option on 2023-2024 season, sources tell ESPN.

Deadline was tomorrow, I thought they might let him go to restricted FA. Slight overpay, IMO, but still a fair deal considering the probability that some team might have offered him much more as a RFA. Contract is very tradable too.

13ish mil a year, that feels like a steal honestly. Not that I think he’s proven to deserve a whole lot more, but almost all those guys who look like they could get you 20 on bad teams seem to get 18+. He’s making less than they paid Danny Green, solid sign for them.

It’s also a number that if they do explore trades after this season other teams would likely feel very comfortable trading for him at that price.

That's a lot of $ for him more then I expected he would get. With all of these signins and 9 teams with over 20 million in cap space next summer I can't wait to see how the bad contracts thrown out.

There will not be extension agreement between the Bulls and forward Lauri Markkanen, sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium. Markkanen will be among the more intriguing free agents in 2021.

Even if he doesn't play great this year, I expect several organizations to feel like they can get more out him so he will get some big RFA offers, IMO.

San Antonio Spurs guard Derrick White has agreed to a four-year, $73M extension, his agent Mike Lindeman of @excelsm_bball tells ESPN.

With the deals we've seen today, I take it back, the Kuzma deal wasn't an overpay.
