Re: Anyone see the KG interview

Yeah, but at 120 Mil, they couldn't sign any high profile free agents (it takes at least two stars to win in the NBA these days), got caught in the Joe Smith situation, and had Maubury leave the team (his stupid @ss fault, but still Minnesota should have pampered him if they were gonna pamper KG).

And 18 and 10 ain't worth 120 Mil to me. That's why the owners are dumb-@sses to me--paying these dudes on potential instead of production. It took YEARS for KG to get them out of the 1st Round of the playoffs.

18 and 10 then now 25 15 and 5 every season, i think they knew that he was gonna be good. as for them getting out of the first round taking so long, well kg finally had some help with sam and spree, previously he had nobody and was still real young with marbury. no way you can point the finger at kg

I still dont agree man. KG is a franchise player. No telling minus the illegal signing, and keeping Marbury how the team would've turned out by now.
          Marbury overestimated himself somewhat.

Although 18-10 doesnt justify 120 mil KG has more than proved that out IMO. He has made that club alot of money. There really arent alot of players worth that kind of dough, but KG is one of them. As far as the 1st round thing, again, not his fault, and surely you cannot put the blame on a single player. Its basketball man. A 5 man team.

You have it all wrong. They still had room to sign free agents after KG's contract. The reason behind their problems signing FA is 1) No one wants to live in Minnesota and 2) The Joe Smith debacle killed their draft picks. Without draft picks its hard to do sign and trades which is the way the majority of major FA pick ups are made.

Even w/ that they were still able to sign Olewakandi and Wally to pretty big deals. Their problem stems from giving big money contracts to players like Smith, Kandi and Wally. Finally, Marbury left because Minny realized he wasnt worth KG money and they were right.

Re: Anyone see the KG interview

Everyone also forgets that MJ had the bargain priced side kick of all time in Scottie Pippen.

At one time, Pip was clearly the second best player on the planet...and being paid about what a role player gets on a poor team.

KG has never had that lucky break. A number 2 who he could depend on.

Sammy Cassel was that guy last year. Sammy doesn't get injured, they win it all IMO.

That's basically the one year he had support and they went almost all the way.

Unfortunately, Sam's broken down and Spreewell has just given up and sulked.

Re: Anyone see the KG interview

If KG was such a great player he would've gotten out of the 1st round without Spree and Cassell. You never saw Barkley, Jordan, Robinson, Ewing, Olajuwon or a lot of other guys having trouble with the FIRST ROUND!!!

And a lot of those guys mentioned had garbage on their teams. The best was that commercial where someone asked him about the playoff failures and he's like "20, 10, and 5, you know how I get down!"

                      20, 10, and 5???!!!

Why are you talking about stats when the issue is the playoffs???

He proves he's a knucklehead again in that interview when they ask him why he's crying and he's like "cuz I'm losing". Oh, YOU'RE losing??? It's always about the individuals stats with him. You keep racking up 20/10/5 and let TD keep getting rings.

Eventually you have to ask, why does one guy win and another guy lose?

Winners win and losers blame it on teammates.

that was probably the most ridiculous, mindless post ive seen in a while. when you actually learn something about the nba come back and post cause you obviously have no clue what you are talking about.
