Saw the interview....it was captivating. speaking personally I feel for KG. I think too many people are distracted/just can't get past the fact that these guys are millionaires, but I feel like I can identify with them, especially the HS guys. It was some real TV right there, how he was struggling the rest of the interview, how the camera cut away & faded out at times. By far the best interview, I thought the Grant Hill/Tamia one was good too, but the Dirk/Nash ones didnt really give us anything new.

I think the point of this thread is that most players, given that question in KG's situation, would say, "Yeah, yeah, it's rough. Yup. Whatever. I don't care whether we win or lose. I wipe my a$$ with benjamins, yo. Okay I'm going to go "roll" in my bentley now. Holla atcha boy."

But KG is standout in that he actually cares. Not only that, he is a great player. I would have a hard time caring at 130 million a year, I could give two sh!ts.
And I guess that's what makes KG so great.

No.... thats way off base. KG is not the only one who cares, thats a joke. The point is that he is likely the most passionate, basketball-is-life kind of guy. Everybody cares. Even if they had an outburst (like D Miles) and said they didnt care, everybody cares. If you want to say they are all about the money, well what do you think gets them the money? Ws......

Where did I say that KG was the only one who cares? And no, not every pro basketball player cares about winning. THAT'S the joke. The joke is that the majority of players are NOT like KG and that is what I have been saying. Now before you misread my post again, I said MOST players are not like KG. That does not mean all...

The majority of players do care, if they didnt, they would have never even made it to the league. There wouldnt even be a league if the majority (or even 25%) of players didnt care about winning. Think about it. I spelled it out for you, Performance = Wins = Money, so if you care about the money, you care about the Ws.

....your first post is an obvious stab at the stereotype of most nba players, the young rich african american male. Your usage of slang in quotation marks makes it all the more obvious. maybe you didn't mean it, but that post was tasteless IMO....

i can think of two guys right off the bat that don't care about winning and they just happen to be two of kg's teammates. i bet you can't guess who they are...

hint: their initals are LS and SC.
