Re: Anyone see the KG interview

the money has nothing to do with this. after you have put in 5+ years, the money is a mere formality. 115, 120 million? you get what you can as we all flippin would so please lets not throw the money issue around like the players are greedy. because with that money comes scrutiny none of us can even imagine as well as a loss of ever, yes ever, having a normal life. so the next level of judgement comes to how you play after you get that bread and can any of us say he hasnt earned every dime of that money? crying about losing and showing emotion like he showed is unusual as well as unheard of. the tears tell you :I got all the money i can ever need, can buy everything money can buy, but I still care about what i do to make that money. and when I cant achieve excellence in that field, it doesnt feel too good.

And a lot of those guys mentioned had garbage on their teams. The best was that commercial where someone asked him about the playoff failures and he's like "20, 10, and 5, you know how I get down!"

          20, 10, and 5???!!!

Why are you talking about stats when the issue is the playoffs???

He proves he's a knucklehead again in that interview when they ask him why he's crying and he's like "cuz I'm losing". Oh, YOU'RE losing??? It's always about the individuals stats with him. You keep racking up 20/10/5 and let TD keep getting rings.

Eventually you have to ask, why does one guy win and another guy lose?

Winners win and losers blame it on teammates.
This is ridiculous. First of all if you have ever watched a T-Wolves game you would know that KG is anything but selfish. In fact, one of the knocks on him was that he didnt demand the ball enough late in games. And how is being upset with losing a bad thing? Are you saying that you wish he was indifferent to it?

And for the times the T-wolves didnt get out of the first round, look at the lineups for some of those teams. Dean Garret was a pickup at one of the deadlines and thats not much for a supporting cast. All of this was while the West was very dominant as well. Also, there was only one year where we were the higher seed, and who did we get matched up with? The Lakers.

KG is one of the few people in this league I feel deserves every penny coming to him.

i understand if you say that someone needs help to win a championship but it's ridiculous to need two all stars to help you win ONE PLAYOFF SERIES.

there have been a lot of teams with marginal supporting casts and one star win a playoff series.

Righ.. What about the 120 million dollar contract he signed in 97... He kept telling reporters its not about the money? Yet he turned down the 80-100 mil contract the team offered previouisly, & kept saying, I just want to play basketball, but held out..Right..

you guys should really look into something before posting. OTHER TEAMS WERE OFFERING HIM MORE MONEY. the timberwolves agreed to 120 because other teams were offering alot more. he could have gotten alot more but him and the twolves settled on it. no one in their right mind would take 80 mil when they could get 135-140 mil. think about it.
