Re: 2021-22 NBA Trade Deadline
Trade makes sense. Ben doesn't even have to shoot on that team. Both teams got better. I like it. Harden better show out in Philly.

Re: 2021-22 NBA Trade Deadline
Curry might need a few games out because he was obviously hurt in that Phoenix game. But long term definitely Nets won the trade without a doubt.
Philly still needs to make a move or two because they are still not a contender mComment

Re: 2021-22 NBA Trade Deadline
I do think Harden relieves the playmaking responsibilities from Maxey. Allowing Maxey to be more aggressive. Harris can just focus on being a 3rd/4th option.
But, we still need a backup PG, Wing with Size, and a better backup 4/5Comment

Re: 2021-22 NBA Trade Deadline
I don't even care about the vax stuff anymore but having to deal with his nonsense is clearly why Harden wants out of there. He's got enough pull to actually stand up and say "dude, **** you" to Kyrie. Kyrie is the guy they should've traded but then you fracture the relationship with KD so it is what it is. Regardless, Harden, KD, and everyone else that's on the Nets (or was in Harden's case) should not have to justify Kyrie's nonsense. Obviously this is not what Kyrie, KD or the Nets signed up for but it is what it is and the Nets should've parted ways with Kyrie.Comment

Re: 2021-22 NBA Trade Deadline
Not sure how we can call a winner from this trade because last time we saw him on a court Ben had the yips.
I’m really interested to see if he can give them anything offensively during games where Kyrie isn’t playing.
Defensively he’s a massive upgrade.
Feel like there’s still another shoe to drop.Comment

Re: 2021-22 NBA Trade Deadline
Got my OJ on and typed out one of them long *** essays [emoji849][emoji23]
Spoiler
State already changed their mandates so at this point, it’s only a matter of time before they do and follow the other major cities in the NE. Also the fact that Politicians are known for saying one thing and doing something different(especially with this Pandemic)so I don’t expect Adams to be any different. It’s just a matter of when it’ll be changing at this point.
I’ll preface this by saying that all of this of course could’ve been easily avoided if Kyrie was vacinnated. And by that, I mean us losing 9 straight and in a free fall in February. I think it played a role but I don’t believe it’s the primary reason why he all of a sudden wants out.
He’s the same guy, along with KD, that was begging/demanding Tsai/Marks to let Kyrie come back and be a part time player in the first place. He knew that man wasn’t going to get his shots no time soon but yet still wanted him back even if he’s only on the road.
He comes back, he’s posting that man all on IG/Twitter talking about “Welcome back, King, I’m so glad you’re back, blah, blah, blah”. Aight cool. Kyrie’s been playing like someone who was already in midseason form and not someone who had been sitting out for 7 months.
A few weeks later, KD gets hurt and is out 4-6 weeks. Ok cool, it sucks that he’s out but all you need to do is hold down the fort like you’ve done before until he comes back after the ASB and then we’ll be ready to go by the Spring.
When KD was out due to Covid and Kyrie was in protocol, Harden looked/played like he was having the time of his life in both LA games. He proceeded to talk about “I’m back, I’m back in Shape now, Covid ain’t bother me”.
But because the team goes thru a slump, you decide to just say **** it in the middle of a game and then not show up to the next 4-5 games at all? KD did the same thing when Harden was out with Covid and the Hamstring and of course, his yearly James Harden Weight Watch. He ran with G-Leaguers and guys on 10 Day contracts and didn’t complain or slack off on the court once. He played ball and got Ws while Harden was dealing with his issues.
Now that KD is hurt, he can’t do the same? Mans scored four ****ing points against the ****ing Kings, in a game where if he played like he gave a damn(The video is out and easy to see that he looked/played like he checked out and I said as much then). Kyrie was out there WITH HIM. The ***** that he begged the team to let come back! And you still can’t give 40% effort at least to beat the ****ing Kings??
HE was the one that wanted to come here. HE chose us, not the other way around because HE wanted to play his boys. He wanted to be the 3rd guy and not have to shoulder a huge burden anymore to get a ring(Everyone here and on SM said so as much so let’s not play dumb/oblivious to that fact)But because **** gets a little rough, he wants to run out for the 2nd time in 14 months.
He wants to go to Philly and that’s fine. My thing is what happens if Embiid gets hurt again(considering his injury history, it’s something to consider since he hasn’t exactly been a Beacon of Health)? He’s gonna be in the same situation that he’s in now and with no other reinforcements on the way like a KD or a Kyrie. And then he’ll pull another one of these moves again(He’s already done it twice, so why shouldn’t we assume he won’t do it again?)
So to answer your question: I believe it’s because **** has been bad for the last few weeks and he doesn’t want to stick around anymore. The Kyrie thing is a factor but on a scale of 1-10, I’d say it’s like 4-4.5 as far as how much of a factor it is.
Hopefully I answered your question and provided some context/nuance into why I think that
