But Tobias continued his rough stretch and the fans let him have it. He let it get in his head. Gesturing to the fans to keep booing him and mouthing off "Don't F*****g Clap" after he made a shot. You can't get mad him for taking that contract. He has never shown that he was "that type of guy". He's a great team guy that tries to stay within flow of game. But he's expected to be the #2 guy based off of his contract. When Curry and Embiid is off the court, he can't carry the offense which is why leads shrink.
Stg that irks the hell out of me. Guys want the big max contracts but don't want the pressure and expectations that come with it. Thats where it fell apart with Simmons. He got that star/leader money but wanted no part of leader responsibilities.

...sorry. Got triggered there for a sec

Strong defense to close it out by Golden St. Curry only had 9 pts. Speaks to GSW's depth.

56 and 14 not enough for Trae to get the Hawks over the hump.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Curry is great but the rest of that group is ridiculously underrated. They check every box.

Jeez. And Anfernee Simons gets 43 in Lillards place. That's tuff Trae.

I didn't watch the hawks' game as it came on during west coast time. Apparently, Trae was on last night I'm guessing Trae and Simons guarded each other.

My man DeMar stayed after the game shooting free throws after the Bulls’ win over the Magic last night as the UC crew were switching over the court for hockey.

It's easy to say, don't blame the player, blame the front office for offering the contract. But they were in a tough situation. They were already over the cap, so it was a situation where either they could sign him, lose him for nothing(after trading away assets for him), or sign and trade. And in theory, Tobias is the better complement to Ben than Jimmy because Tobias doesn't need the ball in his hands as much(even though he over dribbles way too much now). So, I can somewhat understand the why. Though still terrible decision to sign Horford.

Tobias has been the "leader" last few years. It's just that Joel has stepped up and fully took over the leader role this year. He's way more vocal now. Last year peak Tobias. That's the best you're going to get from him. Honestly he misses Simmons the most. He can't create for himself, although he tries to isolate and over dribble just to take a bad contested shot. This was the year for him to show that he could be a all star and a true #2. That just isn't what he is. Most of the season he has been the 3rd-5th option. So I wouldn't say it's a leadership issue, it's an expectation issue. He's expected to be a #2, and he's a glorified role player. If he was making $18-22M instead of $35M, it wouldn't be as big of an issue

I have been on board trading him since start of last season. He might be better off on a team with lesser expectations. Even if we have to do what we did with Horford and add a 1st round pick, than it needs to happen. Not having something for Ben and Tobias's slump has the Sixers underachieving this year

Wow it’s so crazy that having an actual point guard back in the lineup makes us look like a decent offensive team again. I’ve missed Garland like hell.
