Re: NBA Off Topic Thread
The Verizon one with Seth Myers and Cecily Strong is worse. She's snoody, he refers "royal highness" as sir for no reason. She's looking down from her balcony at him on the street and yet her head is elevated anyway, she talks through her nose. Lol I caught that too.
It’s why I never understood the whole “I’m going to Treatment and will be better) thing. Like you don’t need *that* type of treatment for being too hot. Only type he needs is to be slapped upside the head by his Pops.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: NBA Off Topic Thread
Nah, he's too talented.
Arenas' career was derailed not just by the gun stuff, but also by his knees turning to rubber. People seem to forget how badly he looked after the multiple knee procedures.
On one hand, I understand that your star waving around a gun (on social media) is a PR nightmare (especially in a public space like a strip club). Yet, on the other hand, I think this is a little bit of an overreaction.
Morant isn't a felon and has never been in trouble with the law, so why can't he possess a gun like every other gun-loving crazy in America?
And I understand that the NBA is a private entity (that feigns progressive ideals for praise), so they can punish as they choose. He's just a knucklehead like JR Smith, Isaiah Rider and so many more before him.
He's just exceptionally talented and they'd rather "curb" the (perceived) reckless behavior than ship him off for peanuts in return.
Happy he ain't on my favorite team. [emoji38][emoji2377]

It’s not about possessing a gun. It’s about treating guns like toys.
Responsible gun owners hope to never shoot anyone with a gun. This fool acts like it’s a game.

Re: NBA Off Topic Thread
He's being an irresponsible gun owner, true, and putting himself on blast with it on social media.
He's just a knucklehead thinking he's a rapper - whose record labels let do a lot of egregious **** for the sake of fame - forgetting that the NBA is a private entity and doesn't play this ****.
Gonna have to start docking him big money then maybe he'll finally learn.

I think in regards to him, it’s moreso the perception.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: NBA Off Topic Thread
The difference is every other gun owner ain’t out here being hot. They/We own guns but we’re smart enough to know not to wave it around on IG in the car. You see why his boy moved that camera away real quick.
I think in regards to him, it’s moreso the perception.
He's being reckless and irresponsible, but the reaction has been over-the-top, IMO.
Who cares if Memphis "suspends him from all team activities" when their season is over and Ja likely has a gym/basketball (plus a personal trainer) on his property?
Just put out a statement "denouncing" his reckless behavior, get him some more "counseling," fine the **** out of him and keep it moving.
Everything else is a show to protect images and public perception.
