Kawhi Leonard's bad knee/quad is totally ****ed. [emoji38][emoji38][emoji38][emoji38]

Let's see if the Clippers will have the 'guts' to finally stop letting him dictate when he does and doesn't play?

I'm pretty sure I know the answer.

I just wanna know who actually load manages? Like specifically which players, which games, how many games. I'm tired of this being such an exhausting talking point with absolutely no data to back it other than generalities that pop up once someone gets annoyed about it.

Players are going to sit games at the end of the year when playoff seeding/tanking happens. Players with minor injuries are no longer going to play through them.. It's too much money at risk from the owner/player standpoint.

So those instances aside, who's randomly missing games for no reason at all? Kawhi and a handful of guys who skip back to backs like 2 times a year? Kyrie for whatever thing he has going on... Such an outrage over essentially nothing I swear lol. Kawhi ain't the whole league.

                Yeah, I totally agree.

It's an overblown issue but they need something to deflect from tangible problems.

I'm not a "the ratings, oh no the ratings" guy, but that would be a bigger talking point (at least in-season) if the 'load management' narrative wasn't around.

Also, from a scheme and coaching standpoint 'load management' or resting your top talent is too beneficial. It helps with pacing players for the guys that actually matter, although ramping up minutes in March, early - April should occur more (IMO), and you can see who is or isn't capable of stepping up in the latter part of the season (see: Christian Braun).

And Leonard is a special case, where one of his previous teams (*cough* Spurs *cough*) told him that managing and playing through injury was inevitable. But that is a bridge that was crossed - and burned down - a while ago.

(Yes, I'm still salty and will be forever. [emoji38][emoji38][emoji28][emoji28])

A lot of times it is the teams dictating load management A lot of times, it is predictable when it will happen. I think CJ McCollum mentioned something about teams setting scheduled rest days. Like for Embiid, it is 3 of 4 nights, he's not playing in the back to back. Teams just have to be more considerate with minutes when there are a lot of games around in a short span

I think the part I'm usually upset with is LeBron is coming to NYC for 2 games only. When he decides he's going to not play at the Brooklyn game but play in the Knicks. That **** isn't fair.

Now Miles Bridges on the other hand…at this point, you have to wonder if he’ll play at all this year considering the news over the last few hours.

Just seen this. WTF... He's actively trying to not to play SMH. That's sad.

Load management isn't going to change unless teams are on board, but they all have their own "analytics" and logic, and they've already trained players to except/demand it. So good luck with that. Players are playing fewer and fewer games every season, and that isn't changing.

NBA is just mad because it's impacting the nightly live event product, and it's making more and more of their marquee regular season matchups on TV less special. Valid points.
